Problems with LAG PLEASE HELP!

Hey there Mr. TheBeast. I just wanted to clarify the extent of the lag a little bit more. Do you find that this really only happens during large or fast-paced games, like you mentioned Gears 3, or does it happen in slower, smaller games as well? To be honest,
I'm not crazy about your upload speed, and that would go along with the fact that you are noticing lag most when trying to send data (or in this case, bullets).

You can try maximizing your upload speed by making sure your console is the only device using the internet at the time. You could also try contacting your ISP to see if there is something they can do to boost this speed a little. They may offer a faster plan
if you'd like to get into to something like that, but see what they can do for free first. Let me know if any of these suggestions helped. Thanks!

Things you have tried: Deleting caches, phoned XBL support and my provider, restarting router/modem, changing the cable between my xbox and the router, plugging my xbox straight into the modem bypassing the router, turning off all other electrical devices
in the house

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Unknown, I don't know what UPnP is

Is NAT Type Open?: Yes

Any Error Codes you encounter: No, the rest of the internet in the house works fine

What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G?: The fiber optics one not sure what it's called

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?: Virgin

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?: When I run the Test XBL it doesn't come up with any messages it simply connects. Although if I clicked the "Y" button on my xbox controller for
"Status" once the test has been completed it comes up with an "Error Status Report" which has as follows:

W: 0000 - 000B

X: 0000 - F001

Y: 20A8 - 4840

Z: 0000 - 0000

ID: FFFF - FFFF

I don't know if any of this helps, I don't even understand it al but I just want to provide all the information needed so I can resolve this problem as soon as possible!

Ed you are settling. My internet was the same problem it usually has to do with an intermediate connection I assure you nothing Xbox team could do for you it is an ISP issue. Make them come to your house and test it they can not properly test from the companies
headqaurters. Mine ended up being two wires the needed repaired in back yard, I waited 4 years and that was it runs amazing now.

Try update your routers firmware.

Enable UPnP.

Check your routers MTU settings.

Set your Xbox so it connects to a static IP address.

Open necessary ports.

Make sure when your on Xbox LIVE that no one else in your home uses the internet and see if that helps.

Copy the game from disc to HDD.

If the modem already have an IP and you change devices (say from pc to Xbox) it then takes a while for the IP to drop.

Try a different router.

Hi Gwyther. I've spoken to my ISP again and they insist that there is nothing wrong because from their end and on the speedtests they've told me to run, everything seems fine even though it's not. I don't think they really understand xbox's. Here is a console
ping test thingi that someone on the gears forums told me to do, I think it may help.

Packets: Sent = 500, Received = 500, Lost = 0 (0% loss)
