    Problems with joining people's parties


    Hey I am having trouble there is a friend that I want to join her party but Everytime I go to join to join her party it doesn't have join party join game or anything highlighted and I am on the Xbox one S

    Disappointment

    Ive only been kicked from one game. No problems getting games or servers. Joining with parties IS hard though.

    Both open NATs but we cannot join each others parties or games

    I have looked everywhere to figure out the problem and have come up with port forwarding and making sure my NAT is open, which it is. I went through these steps on my buddies xbox because we could not join each others parties and his Xbox NAT was on open
    and was port forwarded as well. We still cannot join each other. We both have no problems joining other people's parties and games but when we try to just play together it won't let us. Please help! Thanks

    Problems with party chat

    Party chat isn't restricted to people playing the same game. I'm regularly in a party with people who are playing different games (various regulars on these forums) and have no problems at all either joining or communicating. The only problem with party
    chat I have found is if I host a party and then plug my mic in then it doesnt work. But if i make sure its plugged in before I start or join a party then no issues.

    Unable to join open Xbox parties unless invited.

    I could accept this answer if I had this issue the entire time but nothing in my network has changed or if I was not able to hear people in parties. This literally started up a week ago and once I get the party invite it is OK. Prior to that I was able
    to join open parties no problem but now It does not give me the join party option. I can hear people perfectly fin in Xbox party and some game chat but I am unable to join parties that do not have an invite restriction on them.

    App Consistently Crashes Upon Joining Party Chat

    Hey, I was having the same problem when attempting to join a party, but accepting an invite from the part seems to work. Just ask one of the people in the party for a quick fix.

    Why do the Xbox One microphone headsets refuse to work?

    I have this problem all the time myself. Try starting up a party by yourself and make sure that you're putting out audio before attempting to join a party with other people.
