Problems with hdr her on xbox one s

I posted not long back that it happened to my friend. He got a TV from Currys, guy in shop told him it was HDR10 compatible , got it home only to find it wasn't HDR10, he got it swapped but I bet there's a few out there ( I would of done it myself ) that
look at a 4K and think that will be fine.

Trouble with a lot of stores, even some of the staff up not quite up to scratch knowing what 4K TVs are compatible or not. They think because it says HDR on description then it's ok but it's not always lol

 

Crazy thing is the first LG tv cost more that the the new one I have and the TV's is identical only thing different is this one support HDR and both is 2016 models.

My Daughters Samsung TV is a late 2015 model but it had an update to make it HDR10 compatible

My friend who I mentioned before, purchased a 2016 Samsung that wasn't HDR10 compatible, even with updates. It really is confusing lol

I'll say again though to anyone. If your on the market for a 4K TV to go with your new Xbox Slim, when you see the TV you like, even if the store folks tell you it's HDR10, phone the TV manufacturers Support with model number and double check

 

I remember the time when buying a TV wasn't this complicated... lol. I bought a Samsung 4K TV back in April but it's an early 2015 model, sadly it hasn't got HDR and don't have the money to buy a new one.

Makes me think. I'm ok now for the Xbox One Slim but Sony have their 4K machine on way, hoping my TV compatible with that and what about Scorpio next year, another TV maybe?

I have visions of my room, 3 or 4 different consoles along with 4 TVs lol

 

do you recall if your first LG tv had Ultra HD Deep Color? Cuz if so, then it was HDR10 and ALOT of people are having problems with LG HDR
