Problems with hdr her on xbox one s

For some reason my xbox won't allow me to check allow hdr and my tv is compatible it worked when I first got it and I will post pictures when I get off.

Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content

I am having the same problems here with my Xbox One S and my Samsung KS8000.

The first time I used my Xbox One S HDR was fine. After a preview update the problem appeared. I reverted back to the normal update and still same problem.

I changed some video settings like putting 12 bit colors and now the HDR problem looks solved. But definitely the Xbox one S has some HDR issues.

I'm trying to figure out how you have a gamer tag that essentially say massmurder but with poor english

 

I'm trying to figure out if you need glasses or can you read because Mase and Mass is not the same...carry on now

 

Have you tried a console reset that might help it.

 

Have you gone into the consoles Video settings to make sure 4K and HDR is all still ticked? I've read some say for whatever reason those settings somehow turn themselve off

Same for the TV, go into settings and make sure HDR settings are all enabled

As you said it worked before I'd guess it's something trivial and can be solved but just double checking settings!

In the consoles video settings I've read that it's best to have "Auto Detect" enabled rather than doing it manually

I have tried everything besides resetting the console with deleting everything, didn't want to because I have over a hundred games to download but oh well guess I'll give it a try.

Have you called Xbox Support or your TVs manufacturer support?

Definitely worth it I'd say. Know quite a few people that have recently upgraded to 4K/HDR after picking up the Slim. A few had issues getting everything to work 100% but a quick call to one/both resolved any issues quick

Yep and no one can figure it out.

 

When you first see up the TV mate are you 100% sure all boxes had a green tick, 4K, HDR10 gaming? If yes then as awkward as it is now but it can only be something quite simple.

I know my friends TV, he can only get everything ticked but he has to use a specific HDMI port on his TV, he uses any of the others and it just doesn't pick it up for some reason. Could be worth checking that out

What's the make & model number of your TV. My mate knows a lot more than I do but if you post it I'll pass it on to him, he might be able to help

 

Every one but 4k at 50 Hz had a green check I have pictures but don't know how to upload them on here

 

I've passed on you TV details to my friend. He's a bit of a wizard with TVs. When he messages me back I'll post here. Could be tomorrow as being a Friday night I think he might be at pub lol

Come to find out the tv I got didn't support hdr took it back and everything work now. Thanks for the support tho teLly appreciat tho!
