  1. Problems with HDMI Cable working properly

When I connect an HDMI cable the console wont allow me to choose 1080p or anything else besides 480p if I try to choose anything else it will either go to a black screen or begin to flicker and show artifacts and discoloration. I've read other forum posts
of the same issue, tried their solutions and nothing so far has worked for me. I nearly reset the xbox as a last resort but I wan't to give it a few more tries with other peoples input.

    :)

    I'm not sure about something...

Make sure the HDMI cable is working properly and its all connected right if its working fine on your other consoles and its not the cable id try tinkering around with the video options for your Xbox.

    Hardware problems on Xbox One

I had a problem with Live TV not working correctly. When I first set up the HDMI cables, I connected my cable box to the XB1. Live TV worked off and on. Video would freeze or I'd receive a black screen. Once, I even received a message saying my cable box wasn't connected to the XB1, when clearly it was. I looked around for others having that problem and found a solution which worked. At first, I didn't have the HDMI cable packed with the XB1 plugged into both my cable box and XB1. I simply used the cable I've been using. When I made the change and used a Monster HDMI cable from the XB1 to the TV, everything worked! Right now, my biggest problem is taking time to configure Kinect correctly.

The TV HDMI Issue --- (Possible Fix)

No, the HDMI cable in the box is nothing more than a 1.4 HDMI cable. So any will do.

Now, as for the problem, there are two things that come to mind.

    1. The video throughput have had problems, and Microsoft has said that it could be the console itself if you are having alot of trouble with it.

    2. As you got it to work with the HDMI cable included, that leads me to think that maybe your own cable isn't a 1.4 version of the HDMI cable (and maybe the Xbox requires that category/version of the HDMI to work properly). So check to see what version of
HDMI u have or try and buy a 1.4 HDMI and see if that does work.

But in terms of the included cable, there is nothing special about it. It's just a 1.4 HDMI cable.

Xbox one S upsacaled to 4k graphic issue

    Heya FootprintTrader,

The first thing I would try is to use a different HDMI cable. It could be that the HDMI cable is not working properly.

    Speak soon,

    HDMI HDTV issue

Tried resetting display settings, didn't work. Tested on other HDTV (direct connection with HDMI, different cable), worked fine. Retested on my HDTV, through receiver with different cable, not fine. Retested with same cable, direct connection, worked.

Issue, won't display properly on HDTV when passed through receiver, even though it had as of about midnight CST, while other HDMI devices connected to receiver have no problems. This is an issue because my HDTV only has one HDMI port.

Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

I'm having the same problem. My TV is not recognizing the xbox one thru hdmi but it recognizes the cable box and computer. I've tried different hdmi ports on different TVs, it's not working properly. Somehow the xbox one can still turn on and off the TV.

Does a 144hz monitor detect an Xbox Series X?

May I know if you have tried switching the ends of the HDMI cables? Some HDMI cables have directional flows for signal, so connecting it the other way around would make it not work properly.
