    Problems with HDMI and Turtle Beach Headset


    Hi ,

    We have an Xbox 360e console. I have bought my son a Live Gamer Portable from AverMedia, to allow him to capture games as video files. He already has a Turtle Beach headset (XLa) with mic which he uses for playing and chat. I'm trying to install it for him
    but don't seem to be able to get the sound to actually come through the headphones.

    At the moment I have the following setup:

    360 HDMI > GameCap > TV HDMI slot

    360 RCA port > Headset RCA (Red/White)

    Headset Mic > 360 Controller

    Headset power > 360 USB

    GameCap power > 360 USB

    This is the set-up recommended on the Turtle Beach site for the Xbox 360e and is also mentioned in a couple of solved forum threads here.... but I don't seem to actually be hearing any sound through the headphones at all. I'm hearing all of the sound through
    the TV.

    What am I missing?

    first off can you let us know what headset it is e.g Turtle Beach X12

    also are you using the Xbox HDMI audio adapter

    Capture Card Help

    What type of Turtle Beach headset do you have? What type of connection does it use?

    I would suggest HDMI to the capture card, then connect your turtle beach headset to the pc.
