Problems with getting into parent account to change permission setting for child account.

OK so long story short. we just moved I was setting up my console after being in storage for 8 months and I'm already online and everything I created my new account about a year ago. anyway so I go to play gta online and I get a message saying this account
does not have permission to play online and so I try and sign into the parent account and now I get a message saying a problem occurred and told me to go to xbox.Com and seek further details so I do that and I get nothing. may I add in between those 8 months
I have been playing my account (the child one) on a friends Xbox one just fine no problems. Btw this is my first time ever creating my own account so i didnt know that you had to create a child and adult account otherwise I only would have created one account.
so now I'm at a complete roadblock not being able to play online and not being able to change any permission settings.

Cannot change privacy settings or buy things on Xbox store

Getting the higher team to sort out problems with parent account works. Hope getting the parent account and changes security setting for your account works.

How to change Xbox LIVE online safety and privacy settings

You are allowed change the online safety and privacy settings for any profile on your console.

How to change your safety and privacy settings

Steps to follow:

First, you have to go to the My Account page

You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.

Go to Settings and Preferences and select Privacy and Online Settings.

Now change the settings.

How to change your child’s safety and privacy settings

Steps to follow:

First, you have to go to the My Account page

You need to sing in to your Xbox LIVE account clicking Sing In at the upper-right corner of the page.

Proceed to Settings and Privacy and press Child.

Note: You’ll be asked for the parental Microsoft account in order to make changes to the child account’s safety settings.

Now change the settings.

As parental account you should chang the privacy settings for the child account in order to give permission to play online.

The parental account should give permission to the child account through the privacy settings.

Is your account a Child or Adult account? If you are under 18 and it is a Child account your parents will need to set your permissions to allow it.

So when your son is able to sign into the account on the days that it is set to blocked is it possible that there is also an adult account signed in even though its not being used. If a parental account is signed in at the same time as the child account
then it assumes that the child account has permission since they are playing together. If the child has figured this out you can Set up a Passkey
to prevent the parental account from being signed in.

A passkey protects against a child signing in as the parent and overriding parental controls. A personal passkey prevents a child from simply clicking on the parent’s picture, signing in as the parent, and changing the child’s otherwise
parentally controlled settings.
