    Xbox 360 Music Player Suddenly Will Not Play Music

    The other day, I was playing a game and it would play the music stored on my hard drive and on my external flash drive with NO problem.

    Today, I boot my console up to play a game and I go to play some music to listen to while I play the game, and it will not play ANY of my music stored on my USB drive. It won't even play any of the music stored on my HD either!

    Does anyone know what is going on??

    This needs to be an official Microsoft Hard Drive. The internal 4GB flash memory on Slim models does not count as a hard drive. It also cannot be stored to USB flash memory.

    I understand you need help in playing your game from a flash drive.

    If I may ask, is this being downloaded from the console to the flash drive?

    The game needs to be downloaded from the console to the flash drive in order for you to play it because the flash drive needs to be formatted to the console first so it can be used to store games.

    You can use that flash drive as an external storage to the Xbox to store games and once that is done, you can then install these games on there and play them.

    More than likely if you formated it and its still not working you got a faulty flash drive. If you have a computer in the house plug the flash drive into a computer and see if the computer reads it. If it doesnt then you know its the flash drive. Take it
    back to the store and get a new one. I had the same problem before.
