Problems with games launching on PC

I've been having a very strange issue when it comes to launching games. The game freezes at the loading screen before i even get to the title screen. The loading icon just freezes after a few seconds and the game is unresponsive. I had problems with Fall Guys, IamFish and now all of a sudden Disney Dreamlight. But the strange thing is, Fall Guys never worked when i initially installed it, but then i forgot about it for a few weeks and tried it one day and it suddenly worked with no problems.

And now ive been playing Disney Dreamlight for weeks and then there was an update released today. Now all of a sudden the same freezing happens during the load screen and the game freezes.

Ive tried all the usual suspects like reinstalling drivers, running the programs as admin, its such a strange problem.

Can anyone help? Gamer in need here :/

Please try this:

A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
Restart the PC and try again

B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

C. Is your windows system and all apps up to date?

Please try the next:

C. Double check if everything in your PC is up to date

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.
After that try again

D. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

I have the same problem. Each time I launch the game I get the 0x87DD0005 error code (on PC Game Pass). All other games launch just fine.

Install xbox app on your pc, launch the game using this program and everything work

Strangely, but yesterday when I restarted my PC there was the same problem, but today the game normally launched. So I guess the problem solved itself.
