Problems with friend connection

I'm not really sure what the problem is, but I'll just describe what is happening. My friend and I used to be able to play with each other on Halo, but a little before the UI update it stopped connecting us in game. We also bought Minecraft, but we also
can't connect to that either. We're both in the preview program (not sure if that matters). I thought it might be our NAT, but they are both open. I thought it might be the ports so I spent all day trying to forward ports (same for him). We can still play
Smite or get in a party. Now what makes it weird for me is the fact we can't connect to any of our friends or vise versa (except for Smite or a party). So I guess my question is, what is preventing me and my friend from joining each other in game?

Make sure ALL your party participants have an open NAT. Sometimes if two or more with a non-open NAT (no matter if moderate or strict) join a party, depending on who is hosting the party, this can lead to problems. Make sure that ALL members in your party
have a properly open NAT. Just send them to the link in my signature to get the NAT to open.

If it is a game title update, disconnects are normal. However if one and the same game constantly tries to update, the system cache is probably corrupted, in which case you need to follow the advise above and clear the system cache, as well as re-download
the profile for good measure.

Could be your profile remove it an recover it an then try.

 

Still having this issue for most games except Smite and now Battlefront.
