    Problems with freezing cutscenes


    Hello.

    I have a "Seagate Expansion Portable 4TB" drive connected to my XBOX one S to store all my games.

    I'm having trouble with short freezes in cutscenes in games. If I move the games to my Internal drive, it works great..

    I have tried all USB ports and I've tried replacing the USB cable. I've also tried holding the power button when shutting down the XBOX to clear the cache. but the problem is still there. Some of the games that I can remember having problems with are:

    Resident Evil 7 Teaser, Far Cry Primal, Assassin's Creed Unity and Evolve.

    Could there be something wrong with the HDD or is it just a bad choice for me to use this drive?

    So I'm having problems with my games on xbox one s. I don't know if its latency problems, bandwith, ping, I just don't **** know. My games play fine but when a character talks they'll either say something and skip what they say, say something then stop and
    mouth what they are suppose to say then talk again, or in some cutscenes with bioshock it freezes or skips parts of the scene, or a character will talk over each other without finishing their sentences in conversation and its just annoying as ****. No one
    seems to know what my problem is and I'm just very aggravated. Also when I jump off of something or climb something, assassins creed for example I hear the sound effect 3 or 4 seconds later. Please someone help me.

    Hey there cruehead95.

    To check, can you share what type of audio setup you're using with your Xbox One? Be sure your audio settings are set to match your setup Problems with freezing cutscenes :)

    Purchased Game Keeps Freezing

    A quick google search reveals that Silent Hill: Homecoming is an extremely glitchy game, so it's not just your copy of it. It appears that you have done most of the suggested things to fix the problem, but another suggestion that pops up is do NOT skip cutscenes
    at all. Even the cutscenes that are before where the game freezes for you should not be skipped. I hope that helps.

    First chapter was absolutely fine, but my problems started with cutscene at the start of second chapter (when squad is arrested). Sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later. After that I choose quality mode and skip with cutscene, when returned rt mode and played fine until the next cutscene (mother and daughter). After that, I finally changed to the quality mode and played 4+ hours without any problems. I don’t know that is it.

    I also tried The Matrix and played it without screen freezes.

    Now I want to try testing Doom and GoW5. I will write if there are any problems.

    Have you tried contacting the Microsoft service as advised above?
