Problems with free Xbox 360 games

But i was able to get the xbox one free games at that time but not the 360 games wich was my problem

From what I’ve been told, the Xbox 360 marketplace is separate from the Xbox One marketplace, and thus it uses an older payment system that was developed before the Games with Gold program was ever implemented. So, all transactions coming from the Xbox 360
marketplace must be completed with some kind of valid payment method, even if the price is $0.00.

Microsoft has made no new announcements on changing this policy, so you’ll need to find a valid payment method, be it a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account. No money will be charged when you claim 360 titles on GWG - in my experience, no charges appear
on my credit card statement when I get 360 GWG, and I’ve been getting these games for years.

Unfortunately this is something that is quite annoying, (the reason why i still have a 360 sat behind my tv)

You have to have a payment method on file if you are trying to download a 360 game onto your xbox one even though the game is free, This is how it has always been and likely will never change as the 360 and the one marketplace are technically speaking completely
seperate from each other,

Theres no way around needing a payment method unless you still own your old 360 and simply download the game on there then you can download it on xbox one without the payment method.

It's up to you if you can add the proper info to purchase the free 360 games. Paypal could be an option if you wanted protection of your info.

Ordinarily I'd agree, having a CC/DC on your account is at best not a good idea (particularly if there's young ones around!) HOWEVER it's not always as black or white in that regard. Mine has an old travel card I have from when I went to the US a couple
of years back, it's still valid but to all intent & purpose it's empty ($3 on it) and as all the system does is check for a valid card it satisfies that check and allows the download of the games. It's not an option open to all I admit, but it's easier for
me than the alternative (hooking up my 360 & setting up the network sharing from PC) and isn't exactly a difficult thing to set up so long as your settings in account are correct.
