    On my xbox 360 I have a local child which I am trying to convert into an xbox live account.

    The steps I get through are:

    * Supplying a windows live account to use for the local account, the windows live account is also a child account.

    * I supply the parent account.

    * I supply the credit card and billing information for confirmation.

    * I Accept the the terms and the creation of the xbox live account.

    Then it says its creating the account and shows a progress bar that does not get very far. I get error that xbox live sign up is currently not available.

    I have checked all the places I can find to see if there are updates missing, I searched online for solutions just to encounter others with the same problem but without any real solution.

    I have tried this several times yesterday and today.

    I really want this to work as over time we will properly upgrade to the xbox one.

    Problems creating xbox live account

    Hello, I'm trying to create an xbox live profile. I've filled in the details about my E-mail etc and it began creating my account. Half way through creating the account, it has frozen and hasn't done anything for the past 15 minutes. It says not to turn
    off my xbox. This is the second time it's happened, previously, I turned the xbox off and it corrupted my profile and I've lost it, so I created a new E-mail to create a different profile. It has frozen again and I can't turn the Xbox off as it will corrupt
    the profile and I can't do anything on the xbox as it has frozen on the creating account screen. Any help will be appreciated.

    creating an account

    You are unable to have more than one Gamertag per E-mail address, to make an alternate account, you would have to use a second E-mail address.

    If you wish to change your gamertag, you can do so whilst keeping the same E-mail address. This will cost you 800MSP and can be done from your console, see here for more details:

    It is not currently possible to turn an offline child account into a Live account on the console. You would have to create a new Live account for them via xbox.com and download that account onto the console. It will be a brand new account so any game progress
    they have will not carry over.

    My whole issue is that I want everything to be connected to the same email address, so creating a new account on a different email wouldn't solve anything for me. :\

    Just create and set up another account. Since it will be a new Microsoft Account and possibly for a gamertag you should consider relieving yourself of the stress just by running in circles with a problematic one. :)
