    Problems with corruption...


    Greetings.

    Earlier today I started up my Xbox 360 (It's fairly old now) and I was welcomed by the default Xbox home, without being signed in to my profile, so I went to sign in to my profile when I noticed it had disappeared, so I looked in storage and it said the
    profile was corrupted, so I re-downloaded my profile, and it all went pretty well, when I decided to launch a game though, I encountered a lot of problems. First problem was when I tried to launch GTA V, where it asked me to do the 8gb install, despite the
    fact the fact I already have it installed. proceeding on I tried an array of different games, all with similar problems, causing the games to become unplayable and making my console almost obsolete.

    So what I'm asking here is:

    1. What caused the corruption in the first place?

    2. Are the in-game problems related to the fact my profile was corrupted?

    3. How do I go about resolving this problem?

    GTA San Andreas

    A lot of people seem to have problems with gta san andreas. As Master Blud said, check for corruption.

    Oh my, another Battlefield title with save file corruption problems? Hahahaha! Top quality. I waited for quite some time with BF4 to go through the campaign because so many players were reporting save file issues and losing all their progress. Same with
    BF3.

    Problems with corruption...

    Doesn't matter anymore, I re-redownloaded my profile and it fixed the problem, you can lock/delete/dowhatever with this thread

    Your storage device is failing. I would cease use as to not lose any more data, and replace it ASAP. Then, transfer everything over to your new storage device. Also, if you're using a USB flash stick, don't.

    make sure to clear the cache in the application because that might be the problem and there is still corrupted corrupted data

    I deleted all of the corrupted files, then deleted cache. Even deleted the cache then the corrupted files. Whenever I restarted it would have the corrupted files there again.

    Eventually they went away, but the problem still persists.
