Problems with chat and game invites

I'm currently having problems with receiving chat invites and game invites, they both come through but I cant accept them. Even if I try joining chat or games through my friends names the join option is greyed out and I've tried the usual problem solving
turning off modem, turning off Xbox and checking settings but all have failed! Anyone out there have any ideas?

Problems with chat and party invites.

A good amount of time the PC gets all my party and chat invites but don't go to the xbox at all, even when the PC is off I have difficulty getting the invites.

Is there any way to ensure that my xbox one will get the chat & party invites all the time?

Chat & invite problems

Anyone having problems with private chat or game invites. I tried gears of war with a friend but it would always come up 'unable to join' or the chat invites would just time out....any ideas!?

Have you tried clearing cache? Xbox one only.

Touch and hold your finger on the power button for 20 seconds.

Restart and retry.

same problem last night when trying to start a party with a friend and neither one of us could join and would eventually get a cant connect to host message but NAT was good for both and he could accept other invites for games and parties. wtf please help

Ohhhhh let me tell ya!!!!!1 I have been having nonstop problems with my friends joining each other for weeks now! lol

We spend hours trying to get everyone in a party without getting error codes, disconnection from servers, no notifications, not hearing eachother with our mics, "unable to join" messages. We end up texting and fb messaging eachother trying to work it out
and we all get frustrated >.<

Our mics always stop working and we have to reset our xboxs many times a night. We have been having so many issues. =(

We celebrate and cheer when we get a party going with no problems.

Party chat is a voice chat with only people that you invite or invite you in a group, in-game chat is the chat with everyone that is in the match you're playing in.

Fat Mond

Not specifically Gears but parties have been messed up for me and mine for weeks, everyone getting disconnected very regularly. Considering it's a service we pay for it's not really good enough.
