    problems with buzzing or vibrating on xbox one wireless controller after windows 10 recent ...


    a few days ago windows 10 updated their software. Since then the xbox one controller buzzes or vibrates when your trying to play. Support told me it was the controller and I neede a new one. I bought a new one and it still does it....not the controller.
    Must be the windows 10 update. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Xbox Wireless Adapter wont sync after reboot or long duration without sync with gamepad

    I have the latest windows 10 64bit ,. and just reset and updated to latest patch, the problem with Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows on windows anniversary update has resurface on the latest creator update and those after it.

    Problems = after reboot pc, or a long duration say 24 hours of no playing or syncing my xbox one controller, it will not sync again, even i press the button to resync.

    Only temp solutions = plug in usb cable to play or unplug the Xbox Wireless Adapter and replug it in, which instantly sync the pad back.

    Im already on latest Xbox Wireless Adapter drivers and latest windows 10 patch. please help!!

    I can get it to briefly stop during game play by hitting the glowing xbox button on the top center. That opens up the streaming stuff, I have to hit it a second time to close it, then it will work for a brief time.

    Hey there Archi4fun.

    To start out, can you try connecting your controller with a USB cable to see if there's any change with the vibration? Also, if you haven't already tried, try removing the device driver from your PC, restart, and then reinstall to see if there's any change.

    Hi Tony,

    Since you say you've tried a different controller and the issue persists, then we should look to troubleshoot the PC itself.

    First, fully restart your PC. Once it's restarted go ahead and open up the Xbox Accessories app. When your Elite controller appears go down and select the three dots under Configure. Go to Buzz and test the vibration. If you don't feel anything, back out
    and select Configure. You can manage the vibration in the Elite controller from here by just going over to the Vibration tab at the top after you go into the Configure section. Make sure your vibration is not turned off.

    What controller are you using? Usually you should be able to switch of vibration/change settings within the game itself.

    You can change the settings only on an Xbox by following the instructions here- https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/change-controller-vibration

    If you own an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, you can disable vibrations on a per-controller per-profile basis through the Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10 or Xbox One.
    I have Microsoft TF500004 Xbox One Wireless Controller White I have updated it through Xbox Accessories app as you recommended now I am will check if it is ok after update but still like to know if I can switch off the vibration for this controller ?
