look under "Security info helps keep your account secure" and make sure they have a phone and email listed.

If any are missing please add them. If Any ARE listed delete and re-add them. And Save Changes.

Then Restart Console Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide. Select Settings. > Select Restart console. > Select
Yes to confirm.

Once the Console Has restarted you should be able to send messages.

Unfortunately, Xbox 360 voice mail service has been discontinued since 2019, and Microsoft no longer supports it. As a result, you and your friends are not able to send or receive voice mail messages on your Xbox 360 consoles.

Hi I am running windows 10 and for some reason the chat option on xbox is not working. I am unable to send any of my friends messages or receive any. If i try to send a message the chat box opens but it keeps giving me a loading icon at the bottom of the

It is very possible the ports for Teredo are not working or blocked (My company blocks it from a corporate IT policy). Check this link below and see if it helps.

You can text chat other people on Xbox via Xbox Messaging. You can learn more via this link:

You can select a players profile within the game, then choose send message from their profile.

If you are meaning text chat within the game, like you can on PC games. This is up to the game developers, as the text chat on the game is controlled by them and not Microsoft, nor Xbox.

Microsoft does listen to all their customers, and actively change things, and implement new features based on feedback and customer requests. You can learn more about feedback here:

Me personally, prefer Voice Chat as it allows me to focus on the game, rather then the keyboard typing a response
