problems using party chat

When using the party app on xbox one often times it will not let either me, or my friend join party chat. (if its my party he cant join and if its his i cannot join) it just keeps loading until an error message appears. i have tried a number of things such
as doing a full reboot, disconnecting from network, pressing "clear" under alternate mac, and testing multiplayer connection then holding all bumpers and triggers to change nat to open as directed by support. If you run into this problem those help some of
the time but others i have to wait it out. I guess i am just reporting the problem to microsoft so the party problems can hopefully be fixed unless you have more suggestions for this problem.

You too huh? EVERY SINGLE PERSON on my friends list tell me they also have party chat problems. I also have these party chat problems. Most people I talk to in online games tell me they also have these party chat problems.

The console is over a year old now and WE STILL HAVE THESE PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS!

App Consistently Crashes Upon Joining Party Chat

The app crashes with no error message the instant I click to join someone's party chat through their profile.

There are no problems however when I join a party chat via accepting an invite to it.

I'm using version 11.11.11004.00000.

 

I have the same problem and tried the same things but nothing worked...

I paid my xbox live for nothing because I can't speak with my friends when I play online...

 

I understand your frustration, but the key is: Is your NAT open? You never really specified that it is. Please use the NAT trouble shooter here and let us know if that helped:

If that don't work worst case is you have to open your ports through your router interface.

 

I rceived acode for beta updates and now i cant join or have peeps join party

 

Hello BiggerJake, as the registration app to download the update stated, you are currently only able to chat and join parties with other people have joined the beta.

You can invite your friends to the beta in the Xbox One Update Preview forum (under Xbox Support), or wait it out until the 4th when the update is supposed to go live.

 

My NAT is open and at random times my party chat turns itself off. I'd be talking to my friends one minute and the next it goes completely silent.

 

Same issue as PrinceOfPuppies. Also, when trying to drop / rejoin the party, sometimes get a real nasty looking error. "Can't join party chat, error code <long string of numbers>". Only a full reboot will fix this issue. Will make note of the error code
next time it pops up.

It's absolute garbage. This problem has existed for months. You're party chat system is worthless, try again. Bring back the system you had for the 360. I shouldn't have to jump through these hoops to get my party chat working multiple times a night. It's
absurdity. get your *** straight Microsoft.

 

Totally agree, it's like they've decided how can we make parties as cumbersome as possible? Well, let's try this... you're going to kill your community xbox.

 

You'd think almost a year after release microsoft would AT LEAST figure out how to get the party system working. Get your *** together xbox
