problems using blueray app on xbox one x

Hi,

Im trying to watch movies on my xbox one x console. I use the blueray app that is needed but trying to watch both 4k and blueray movies the picture flashes, black screen and no sound for 2-3 seconds before it comes back. This is repeating it self thru the
movies.

I got some problems with my old xbox one x and got a new one from repair two weeks ago, so it should not be any problems with console i think.

Bluray player app wont install

I have never really played bluray movies on my xbox one until i tried to today,i was given an error code and it said error bluray player cannot start ,i then uninstalled the bluray app, did a hard reset and tried to install the app again with no success
,anybody know whats happening or have similar problems?

help please !!

xbox one x can't play 3d bluray

Hello guys,

i'm from germany and i have a big problem with my Xbox one x.

after the last hdr fix update for the bluray player app on Microsoft store, my Xbox one x can't play any 3d bluray.

Standard 2d bluray, DVD and 4k UHD works great on my Xbox one x.

If i start a 3d bluray he works in 2d great, but if start the 3d disc menue, the connection lost to my tv and i become an blackscreen.

LG 55uh8509 last Firmware is installed

Xbox one x last updates are installed

What i do...

switch hdmi port on my tv 1 2 3 on tv

reset my Xbox to factory

delete memory from bluray settings on Xbox

install the bluray player app again

disable 3d and activate 3d in Xbox settings

so i report that problem on german microsoft support...

my question is...

have any other people the same problem or i'm alone?

When I have this problem it's solved by enabling/disabling the feature called "YCC 4:2:2" in the display settings on the console. Then restart the blu ray app or reboot your console by unplugging for 30 seconds after it's off.

I would say the next best course of action you wanna try is maybe perhaps uninstalling the Blu-ray app and then reinstalling it via the store. You can uninstall it by following the steps here

Uninstall Xbox One games or apps to free hard drive space, but if that doesn't help, the next thing I'd try is what we call a soft factory reset.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts and have easy access to your internet network

Follow the steps here on

We have this problem on xbox one x, the newest console for Microsoft. And I'll ask you to deal with this problem and add this audio format to the bitstream section

You put it in the xbox one x console. Just in the blueray disc section. Why is it not possible to have sound in audio format in the bitstream section?

Unfortunately, I've hit this bump in the road quite a few times. My suggestion(s) would be to make sure the Blueray app installed right (I had this issue before and had to uninstall it to get it to work). Also, check the disc in something else if you can.
If it doesn't work in another device you may need a replacement DVD. If it does work in something else except the Blu-ray app, feel free to come back and let us know so we can continue to help!

(One last thing though but I find unlikely is
region issues.)

When I had this problem previously I tried uninstalling & reinstalling the Blueray app and that made no difference - I'll try it again I suppose.

I can't check the disc in something else as we don't have a standalone Bluray player. The frustrating thing is that we were watching the film the night before and it was working OK.

The problem also manifests itself with other DVDs.

And it's not a region issue.

The Blueray app seems to be unstable on our X-Box. Is this a common problem?
