    Problems updating games and app's


    Hello,

    I've a problem in my console where everytime I try to update a game or app on my xbox one, it first gives an error of "Download stopped. Hold (X) to try again" (No error code is given). When I go to the line of downloads, and try to install the update again,
    it starts to download the whole game/app.

    Just last week I've had to download the Witcher 3 twice (I haven't installed it the second time, and I'm using the xbox offline now). And ofr now I have the following games already on my disc, but that I nedd to download again (from 4Gb to 50Gb of download)
    to make an update of a few hundred of Mb: Just cause 3, The Witcher 3, Ori and the blind forest, Rocket League. I also redownloaded netflix because of a 30 Mb update.

    I ;haven't seen this occur to anybody else, nor in the commom supports in the xbox site. Have it occurred to anyone? in the chat I were told to restore the setings and see if it solver, but.. my internet is rather bad (the internet on Brazil is bad), I would
    rather not hae to donwload everything again. Anyone know of another way, or a solution?

    Same problem there almost 2 weeks, delete the profile, hard reset, no fix this, the problem is on Xbox One and Windows 10 app's. The games not updating properly on my list for me and a lot of peoples.

    You can restore your console without having to delete all of your games. The option pops up when you select restore in the system settings. All you'll need to do is redownload your profile and all of you games should remain.

    Restoring the system haven't worked. It still redownlad everything, instead of just the update.

    I've seen an error code, but the search in the xbox.com/errorhelp didn't find any result. The code is: 0x80070032

  6. Hey, NcDrasto! I'm sorry to see the issues! It sounds like there might be an issue with the way the console talks to the internet. Can you go to Settings > All settings > Network > Network settings > Detailed network statistics and post back your results,
    please? We'll be able to start from there. Problems updating games and app's :)

    Thank you! That actually helps even if you haven't done any updating recently.

    Your latency is incredibly high. If you aren't sure what it means (networking is complex for some, so I try to assume that people don't know), that's how long it's taking whatever communication to go back and forth between the console and the server. In
    short, it's taking 1/5 of a second to communicate back and forth. The lack of packet loss generally means that nothing seems to be missing, it's just taking an abnormally long time to talk to everything.

    Are you able to go wired to see if that latency changes? I know it's not feasible for some in the long run, but I prefer testing that when we see these kinds of latency issues. Let me know if you can! Problems updating games and app's :)

    Problems with Microsoft Mahjong Data Downloading

    Same problem here. Seems to be a problem syncing the game data. App updates are all completed and ditto on windows updates. I'd say the problem is on the XBOX Live server side

    You will notice the account does login. It just borks on downloading the game data.

    Also tried going into the Xbox app, letting it login and then accessing the game app directly from there. Same problem.

    Hey mate, it's actually been very common for people to get signed out when starting or closing games and apps on the 360, I've probably seen up to 5 a week in the support forums for the past year and a half so I don't believe it stems from anything to do
    with the X1.

    Generally deleting the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile will get it back working as normal.

    Delete and re-download profile:
    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete


    Clear system cache:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    No worries my friend, I've had my current 360 for a number of years as well and have never come across this issue myself, but haunting the support forums you get a sense of the common issues and this one pops up a lot.

    Though I must admit it only started happening after the release of the Xbox One, not before, so maybe there is some truth to what you're saying.

    Anyway, deleting the profile, clearing the cache, restarting the console and re-downloading the profile works most of the time, there has been some it had no effect on the issue which I can only assume means there is an actual network or ISP problem and
    not the account.

    Game/App update problems on the 360.

    I have had this system for well over 5 years now and use it for everything from gaming, to web use. I even just completed an xbsupport survay with it after reading over the error code. And today is the 1st time ever this has happened.

    As per the suggestions. Cach cleared, and no corrupted files. I am in the process now of opening up all my apps/games for possible updates and if any we will see if that helped.

    What I was somewhat concerned about was If M was intergrating some software aspects from the X1 to the 360 and if so then that may need a tweak or two.

    But thanks for the links and info. You guys are a big help and I for one am grateful for it.

    Hey there ErikWhite2

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully update your apps as intended. I can totally understand how a problem like this could be confusing. One thing you can do is try clearing your alternate MAC address in Network Settings>Advanced
    Settings
    and see if that helps with the update problem.

    You can always try resetting your network hardware device while your console is off and unplugged as well.

    When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.
