    Hello,

    I'm thinking on buying the new xbox and would like to use the same gamertag that i have on my old 360.

    The issue is that i have no idea what email/password i used to create the xbox live account 9 years ago.

    By turning on the 360 i can see that my gamertag is "Vinni17"

    If i sign out and sign in again it asks me to inform the email and password.

    If i click on the first option informing that i dont have this information available then it directs me to a web page inside xbox and shows the following error.

    Is there any way for me to recover this gamertag?

    Maybe provide a video to the support showing that i have the access to this console?

    Recover Original xbox account Gamertag to 360

    Already contact the xbox support and told her about problem and she link me to this forum, currently no-one has the gamertag on the 360/X1. Just trying recover my old gamertag so i can use it on my new account.

    No. You cannot join Xbox LIVE Gamertags. Unless recovered that gamertag with the Windows Email details to Xbox LIVE and
    then paid the 800 Microsoft Points to change the 2002 Gamertag to something else, and then paid another 800 Microsoft Points ot change your current gamertag to the old one.

    But all that would achieve would just be changing your gamertag to your old gamertag and that is all. Nothing else would be transfered from your 2002 Gamertag to your 2012 Gamertag, like Xbox LIVE Tenture (number of years on Xbox LIVE). That would all remain
    on the recovered 2002 Gamertag.

    Sorry, thats not the question.

    Know i have a new Gamertag. The old Gamertag on the old 360 must be delete from XBOX.COM. The Problem is: We haven't the old 360, it was sold. On XBOX.COM is the old 360 actice, that is false.

    I have a similar problem. I had an old gamertag that is linked to my now main email address so I wanted to change it, but I had deleted the old gamertag from my xbox so I recovered/downloaded it, and tried to change my email and I got the "Your WILD cannot
    be changed withing 30 days of creating a gamertag or if you changed your WILD within the past 30 days." I see you had to recover your acccount too so maybe it has something to do with recovered accounts being mistaken for new accounts or something

    the email address in question was the original email address linked to the account. The security question it says i have set. is not one that i use and do not have the answer to it.

    this is just a big old mess
