Problems syncing data

I just bought a new xbox one for my boys for Christmas and I'm having an issue with syncing data.

So far the issue has popped up on two different games. The first time the syncing message popped up, it was with Minecraft. We have Minecraft for the 360 and when we turned the xbox one verson on for the first time, it tried to pull data from the 360.
When it tried to sync, it errored out saying it was unable to sync data. It gave the choice of loading it offline and we did...it came up. We dropped out of the game for a bit and now it's happening again.

Prior to playing Minecraft, the boys had been playing Terraria with no problems. It ran just fine the first time. When they came back to it, again it tried to sync the data and was unable to do so. It loaded again when we selected the offline option.
When it did load, the previous save wasn't there so I assumed it was because of the wrong account log in (it was the main account with xbox live). We changed it to that account and now it won't log in at all with that account (I'm assuming the servers are
just really congested due to it being Christmas morning).

So...what gives with the syncing data problem?

I've having this problem as well since I deleted my account on Xbox (because I got another bug that always asked me to sign in everytime I turned on my XB1 and instant- sign-in was enabled). After deleting the account, restarting the console and signing
in again all my games would have to sync before playing, and the sync progress wouldn't finish always stops at 98%!

I Turned my Xbox off by the plug went on the game and it did not work.

So i reloaded the game and waited like 15 minutes and it was fine

 

Xbox live down because of hackers!

 

Would them *** with xbox live give syncing data problems as well?

 

They are NOT hackers.

They are just using a ddos attack to overload the servers.

Hackers or no, they're still anarchists. Ruining people's Christmas! I hope Santa made sure to put a nice big fat lump of coal in their stockings this year.

 

I only called them hackers because I've noticed that there are "a lot" of people on here that don't know or understand what DDOS is. Even though it's an inaccurate description, it certainly is a lot easier for people to understand. And for all those saying
that Microsoft, and Sony shouldve done something and that this is bull crap, you should know that it happens a lot more on PC than on consoles. I've even seen competitive games of Cs go get Ddos just because one side was winning and people were going to lose
money. I've seen Dayz servers cop it from other groups just to raise their own numbers. Don't blame the companies. Blame the fools that do it! They ruined your day!!

 

It's a lot worse on PC. Still not really a consolidation for the millions of players who had their Christmas gaming ruined. I thought they had most of them in prison but they seem to cut off one head only to have another grow back.

 

I agree that it sucks for the people that had their Xmas ruined chemist. It wasn't just the people who got new consoles but even the ones that got new games. I got far cry 4 and I couldn't play it as I couldn't log in. But blaming Microsoft is like blaming
ford because a thief stole your car.

 

I cannot tolerate the idea that lack of Xbox Live or PSN ruined a Christmas. If Christmas in your house is that material, you need to watch 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' repeatedly until it sinks in. Then 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'.... 'Merry Christmas
Mr. Bean'.... 'Blackadder's Christmas Carol'... 'National Lampoon Christmas Vacation'.... 'Scrooged'.... 'The Muppet Christmas Carol'... and then finish on 'Arthur Christmas'.

And do it with your family.... while shovelling down beautifully cooked Turkey. That's Christmas. That's Christmas right there. The Xbox goes on when everyone else has gone to bed. Not before.

 

Couldn't aggree more fatal. But at the same time I understand it. When I was a youngan (long ago) we would get a new bike for chrissy. We would do the family thing and then go out a play on our new bike. But how would it feel if you had the bike but could
get the wheels until the next day. I think the adults complaining is a bit much but when it comes to children I do understand!

 

Oh I understand, and it would be sad indeed, but the day would not be ruined. Blemished perhaps, but not ruined. There are too many wonderful things about Christmas day to let a temporary curfew for one present get in the way.

 

They really need to think about giving us offline profiles and more importantly, offline saves. If I can't log in I can't save my progress. And while we are on the matter, I'm actually surprised that the system still needs a day one update. Surely you would
think that after a year, the day one one update would be preloaded onto it. Sloppy work if you ask me!
