    Problems staying connected


    Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section, as I'm not 100% sure what my problem is I wasn't certain where to post it. So I've got a 360 that up until recently worked just fine, about 2 weeks ago it started disconnecting me from live whenever I launch
    a multiplayer game (destiny, titanfall, dark souls) but stayed connected for Netflix and single player games. First I thought maybe I was banned for some reason, but I looked up my profile and Microsoft says I have a clean record. So I moved on to connection
    strength. I'm connected wirelessly and a check of my connection speed showed that my upload speed and taps were good but download speed was below the minimum. I went out and got a signal repeater and now my connection speed is much higher than necessary, but
    I'm still having the same problem. I've tried everything I'm able to from the support guide but nothing has made any difference. Anybody ever have similar issues?

    Problems Staying Connected

    Check to make sure that no one is downloading anything around these times wirelessly. If that is happening it is possible that there is not enough bandwidth and can get kicked off. Also make sure that the router is not too far away. Having a internet
    strenght of 1 or 2 bars will not be enough to do games or anything online. Also try a wired connection for a while to test that theory as well.

    Problems Staying Connected

    Recently I have been experiencing problems staying connected to Xbox Live. I have wireless Internet and connect via the Xbox wireless adapter. During matches online in games such as Black Ops, my Xbox drops connection to my Internet, forcing me offline.
    This problem is completely random and, I can go weeks without it occurring, just to see the problem reappear and occur multiple times over the span of hours. . My wireless internet connection is perfectly fine and can normally connect and sign on to Xbox
    Live with no problem. After I am booted offline, I normally sign back on right away and I connect easily. It is just frustrating to get disconnected when I have a good Internet connection. I don't believe it is a problem with Live, but a problem with stay
    connected to the Internet. I normally receive an error message saying "You must be connected to the internet to play on Xbox Live".

    I have the same problem. I test connect (Which shows my console is connected) and when I either sign in to my account it auto disconnects me or when I start up a game I get disconnected.

    I have the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix it or whats the reason for it. Every time i launch or start a new game i got logged out of my profile. Then once i log back on and leave the game it logs me out again WTF

    The router doesn't have the UPnP option available, or I'd have it hit up faster than you can shake a 360 no scope montage by some 13 year old kid at. As for the wireless, would it not also effect my brothers connection downstairs? Nothing with wireless
    is within 6ft of my xbox, and the router is free and clear. I've just hit the port-forwarding on this router (was a pain to find, but I got it) and as it's only been a few days and we've actually been having trouble with TWC, I can't tell if the issue is
    still prevalent. While hardwired is a great option, and if possible, would be what I would go to, I'm roughly 20-25ft from the router, and the only cord that I have long enough to reach actually runs through a hole in my floor to get down there so that I
    can attempt to keep a steady connection when I stream for my laptop.

    Aah, makes sense! OK, is there a way that you can test with that wire just temporarily? If that resolves the issue, then we can know for sure that it's wireless interference (or know for sure that it's not!) Honestly, all kinds of things can mess with
    a wifi connection. Walls, old pipes, mirrors, microwaves, but a wired connection could test all of that at once- make sense? Also if you've been having issues with your ISP, then it could definitely be worth it to hit them up too.
