    Advanced network

    alternate ip address

    and hitting reset or (default) or something that then has the xbox come back with a "ok the console needs to restart first) hit OK

    turn the xbox back on and behold!!!!!

    It should work!

    I cant log on this morning.

    Ive had 7 months of crap with this console. Im contacting Microsoft for a full refund.

  5. Alright everyone I may have a fix to this unfortunate situation. I've noticed that most of us have Comcast as our service provider but if you don't try this anyways. After many, many hours of talking to Microsoft, Motorola (for my modem/router combo) and
    Comcast it all comes down to Comcast's service. Now I am going to have a tech come by to finalize everything but basically its all about the service that is being sent to you. Easiest fix for us with this problem at least for now is to take your modem/router
    down to where you cable comes into your house, now right here you will need a splitter. Put the splitter right on the first point if you do not have one there, have one coax cable go right into your modem from that initial point and the other coax continue
    along as it was. This dodges any interruptions, fluctuation or overall BS we have been dealing with. Now there are still a few bugs in this set up, but I am signing in as soon as the console is on, my Netflix is streaming perfect, I can make purchases and
    my Xbox is no longer collecting dust. I hope this helps you all.

    Check out that link ^ I'm N+ and Cisco certified and these issues normally reside in the router/modem, try and master reset those devices and you should see it work better (Stay up for a week straight, you will lose you mind, your router is a person too
    and hes going nuts lol)

    Also, the "OPEN NAT" in your network is only talking about the 7 needed ports to do parties, messages, etc... It doesn't include gameplay or some stores (Though it should allow the main store to work, in game stores might now)

    Clear your cache by holding the power button on the front of the console for ten seconds, it should turn off, turn it back on and you should see the green screen for 45-60 seconds, that means it was done correctly, if it flashes right by the green screen,
    then wait for it to turn all the way on and do it again, just hold the button a bit longer, that fixes some of these issues as well. If you master reset the router/modem, and clear cache, it should fix the issue completely, if not then post back and let me

    Also, to explain why this happens to Comcast:

    In early 2000 we noticed IPV4 was full, and we couldn't add anymore computers to the internet. So they created IPV6, this took so long most ISP's (Mainly DSL providers) Found a work around which made the internet a horrible messy place, because of this they
    created a NAT to keep track of all the servers your data packets flow through.

    Funniest thing, is none of that even matters. The issue at hand is actually due to firewalls. UPNP normally craps out after a while due to it saving log files (As well as other features on the router do this, just UPNP and DHCP are used the most and cause
    the issue), this normally happens after a while, I don't want to explain it all because its a huge mess and really confusing, but doing a master reset clears the garbage, then a firmware update will ensure all the features are up to date and working correctly,
    after that, reboot the Xbox, verify your NAT still says open, and test, it should work (Though it saying OPEN does not promise that you can access all game servers, if it says MODERATE or STRICT we KNOW there is a problem)

    If that doesn't work, set a static IP on the console and set up DMZ, follow the link in my previous post to find out how to do that.

    Also, I explained most of this in the link in my previous post. Please direct your friends there if they are having problems and I can help them out

    I have finally sorted this problem guys.

    It is the modem that is causing the problem. I am with SKY broadband in the UK and I had a setup which involved a BT Openreach modem and then a separate SKY router.

    They swapped this setup for the new black all in one hub. This has fixed the issue. They have no control over the settings on the BT modem.

    Anyway if you are with sky ring the tech team and swap out for the new black hub. it looks way better anyway...if not it may still be your modem. Thanks everyone for the advice given! Not microsofts fault for once....

  9. Same issue here. Worked last night but not today. No pins, apps, and nothing is working exepct you can see the tiles on the home screen.

  10. Same issue all if the sudden I can't connect to parties and multiplayer in games, when i run the multiplayer network test it says "no Teresa ip address" my Nat I'd open and I'm using my Comcast Xfinity modem that runs into my NetGear router which then runs
    into my xb1. Funny thing is I've had this xb1 since launch and have never had this issue and now after the update July I do. Also if I clear the Xboxs cache with a reset it goes back to working fine but then the next time I turn it on it's back to the NAT
    issue. Idk

  11. Same issue here and it's been like this for months. Did anyone else figure out a fix. I'm hardwired to my modem and the xbox support catch-all of power cycling does not help. Same exact problem as OP.

    those with comcast and xbox one, most comcast wireless modems and the one dont get along, you have to hardwire, i still cannot wirelessly connect after months but hardwire fine everytime. I have both the 360 and the one they both connect fine, but whatever
    live issue is going on its keeping my gold account ***, ihave yearly that was paid and receipt in january, should not be saying i dont have gold, lets me connect, all net connections are A ok and fine, but it will not recognise my gold account and even trying
    to repurchase its saying cant have two, this is crazy frustrating, if gold subscribtions is messing up would explain all app issues as they all check for it first.
