Problems moving my gamertag to xbox one

so iv bought myself a one finally and iv just realised that i cant remember the email address and password i set up with xbox aaaaages ago. i have this account linked to my new email address and i dont think i can access my old address. now i dont want to
lose my real gamertag UndyingCarcass cos its been a work in progress for years im sure everyone knows that feeling. im at a loose end really and im just wandering if anyone had any ideas how i can solve this :/

im having problems moving my gamertag

hello.

i made a new gamertag a week ago. its "nice day xZZ". i have an xbox 360 slim. in the account on the xbox, i see my email address is
[Mod Removed]. when i go to the att.net website, they say they dont have any records of my account at att. i forgot my password and now the site says they dont have record of my account.

so now, on my xbox i followed the directions on a xbox website to move my gamertag. and 1 thign the website says is "put the password in for your current email address". and thats where i end on my xbox.

and i made a new microsoft acount for just this gamertag. because the webpage says "if needed" do that. buso i created a new account. and xbox's site gave me a new gamergat again. im like what the hecks this about? i dont want a tag on my account yet.

so how do i get all of this solved?

 

Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

Has it been stated anywhere how it's going to work if you move to Xbox One & keep your 360 ?

Will you still be able to log into Live with your gamertag on both machines (ie swapping between the two systems at will) or will your gamertag be stuck on the Xbox One ??

 

Sorry to hear it. Please contact phone support for assistance with this. So long as you can answer some account specific questions about the gamertag then they will give you the email address for it. From there it's a simple matter of changing your password.

But i have tried using the password reset form and it doesnt work, says i dont have enough information. I know which email address is attached now but i cant remember the email address. If i phone the UK support do you reckon they can resolve this issue?
Seems like a pain if i have to start a new gamertag, might make me take it back and get a different console tbh
