Problems logging onto Xbox Live playing 360 games on Xbox 1

If I use the 2 step sign in I cant log on to the 360 games for live. Its has to be off

Make sure your password is not longer than 16 characters.

If you have two step verification turned on you would either need to turn it off or use your app password.

I have Two Step Verification turned on, and habe no issues signing in on my Xbox One, the virtual Xbox 360 on the One, or my old Xbox 360 hardware.

You just have to create an app password and use that on the Xbox 360, and use that instead of your actual password.

Is it possible that you are using a very long password and/or you have Two Step Verification enabled?

If so, you will have to create a so called App Password on
https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage and use that app password instead of your regular password.

Ok so i downloaded my profile for the backwards compatible 360 game and I put in my log in my password is only 10 characters so I’m good with that. I also turned off the 2 step authentication process and down loaded the Microsoft authenticator and
I still cant log in. It says password didnt work 😫
