    So I moved and got rid of my old Xbox One. I finally got around to replacing it. Unfortunately I tied my Profile to an old rarely used Hotmail account when I set it up years ago. When I tried to set up the profile on the new Xbox One it wanted to verify
    me using an old phone number. Now not being completely new, I knew I could change the number but that would lock my security details for 30 days. Plus, I wasn't sure the Xbox would take the new number before the 30 day period was up. So I contacted support
    through the chat feature, the tech seemed a little unsure. They immediately suggested I add a new number online, especially since I couldn't do it through the Xbox interface. I knew that would lock the security features and probably wouldn't update the contact
    number the Xbox was using. I did it anyway. SURPRISE! Security features locked and contact number not updated on the Xbox. Once I explained the problem to the tech, their suggestion was I log back in online and reject the security update. I was not 100% sure
    what the repercussions of that choice would be so, I rejected that option.

    Does anyone know what happens when you reject a security change, can you immediately try to make another?

    Also how can I fix this problem without waiting 30 days for my security info to update?

    Is there really no contact number at Microsoft/Xbox I can call?

    Gamer profile issue

    Problem solved created a new sdult profile and linked it old gamertag. Then changed settings and now can play online!

    The 30 day lock down period is a security measure implemented on one account. Since you are unable to verify ownership by entering a verification code sent to the original phone number attached on the account, the system applied the lock down so if there
    is any chance, for example, that you are not the account owner, the real owner will be able to revert back the changes since he has access on the original phone number attached to it.

    Oh I got something to say

    "Another thing why aren't able to import our old Xbox/Xbox 360 profiles onto the xbox one? Or do I have to pay money to do that too?"

    Erm..............You can import your old profile, this profile I'm using has been the same profile I used all the way back to the original Xbox................so not sure where you get the idea you cant.

    Also, if you moved content from another console, it wont function without doing a liscence transfer. The gamertag that originally downloaded it can use it, but only while connected to the live system.
