Problems downloading Original xbox emulator



I tried to download the origal xbox emulator on a friends xbox 360 60GB white one

Logged on to Xbox live put in halo 2 and two other games which works fine on my xbox I got a massage saying not compatible

Have ms stoped the emulator download if so can I copy the emulator from my xb0x

to my friend’s xbox

On a usb drive and what is the file called and located

Id say he means on the emulator as I am having the exact same problem, was playing yesterday with no problems. Yet this afternoon go to play and “ cannot connect to xbox live “ on the 360 emulator ... a friend suggested removing my account and re downloading
it now i cannot re download my account onto the 360 and continuously get error code 807B01F4

Hi as above you need an official Microsoft hard drive as they are hard coded to play originals. If official downloading the emulator should help.

^Hi there, most of the time when you can't get Xbox originals to work on the 360 it's because you're not using an official Xbox hard drive, can you confirm you're using an official Xbox storage device? A usb will not work.

Also if you've connected the Xbox to the internet, you'd have the most recent update includes what you need to be able to play the Xbox originals.

Well did it come with the console or did you purchase it after? I mean it's kind of hard as they can look same, but generally if you bought it from a 3rd party after the original console purchase there's a good chance it's not official.

There is this information, but it's not too helpful;

Solution 2: Make sure that you have an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive

You can play most original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 console if you have an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive and the latest console software. If you have the latest console software and an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive but you get the “Game could not start”
error, the game is probably not supported by Xbox 360.
