    Problems downloading/editing older clips on Xbox Live.


    I've tried everything, but for some reason, clips that are older than a few months on my Game DVR can't be downloaded or edited.

    When trying to edit older clips on the Xbox One through the Game DVR, Upload Studio just gives me the "Something Went Wrong" message right after the app opens.

    So I decided to try downloading them through the PC using the Xbox App instead since the clips are on Xbox Live anyway, but the app only loads clips up to one year ago, the same goes for trying to access them on Xbox.com.

    Sharing an older clip to OneDrive doesn't seem to work either as the shared clip just shows up as a corrupted MP4 file.

    I have seen an older forum post from over a year ago complaining about the same issue and it seems it still hasn't been fixed.

    I was hoping to use some of my older clips for a gameplay video, but it seems that those videos are just stuck on Xbox Live with no way for me to retrieve or edit them.

    Is this an issue that will be looked into or is it officially staying like this?

    Game clips, want to edit them and I need help.

    At the moment you can save your clips to your onedrive and then you can do as you like from your pc.

    If you have editing software on your pc you could use your saved clips pulled from the onedrive.

    Also when windows 10 is rolled out for free ! There will be an xbox app with the upload studio built in were you will be able to edit all your clips on any windows 10 device.

    and after i trim it i want to upload it to xbox live and the activity feed. and the problem is that is says that it cant recognize the game (where the clip is from) in order to upload it. to upload it the app needs to know which game the clip is from or
    something like that i guess. but that information gets lost after downloading and editing... downloading works just fine... slip storage? i still upload clips from my xbox so that shouldnt be a problem...

    If you have a mobile game clip what you've recorded to your phone using a screen capture app or something like that, you can't upload that video to Xbox Live.

    Sorry, but that's not the way it works. You can download, edit and upload back
    to Xbox Live only those game clips that
    you’ve recorded with the Game DVR feature.

    Step 1: Upload the video to Xbox Live (what you want to edit)

    Step 2: Once it's uploaded to the Xbox Live, download it to your Win10 PC via Xbox App

    Step 3: Edit, trim and save the new game clip


    Step 3: Upload your edited video back to Xbox Live

    On my console, when I go to browse through all of my clips, it shows that they have all been downloaded to xbox live. I have deleted previous old clips and still cannot shared my edited voice over clips.

    My video clips do the same thing. Some of my clips aren't on my console just xbox live. I just edit them in Upload Studio and make a new clip. But sometimes when I edit clips one will be fine then the next one will be audio with a frozen picture. Dosen't
    seem to be a storage problem because it will happen if I have a few clips or a bunch.
