Problems connecting to xbox live (xbox 1)

I can't seem To sign in. I erased my account and tried to add new but instead I get a message " check your home network". I thought that this would work but now I see it had nothing to do with my login information. I talk to someone about this earlier
and they stated the problem will be fixed soon. It has been 6 1/2 hours and the problem is still there. I have tried everything and I still have no luck. Exactly how long do we have to wait for this issue to be fixed?!?!?

Problem connecting to Live

Hello,

The update could not be downloaded from Xbox LIVE. Try the following:

Try installing the update again.

Microsoft doesn't care at all about this. It is effecting very few of us so the mass public doesn't know of it at all. They said the problem will be fixed soon and they will update us on what's going on every half hour but neither of those promises have
been kept. Thank you Microsoft for letting me play my 500$ gaming system with my 60$ game and 140$ headset. It was really a great investment that I can't even f#*+ing use!

This is unacceptable I have had my xbox 1 since launch and I have never had a problem with it until now

I LOVE paying $50.00 a year for xbox live & not being able to use it! I am immensely indignant by this situation.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty ***. This is my one day off this week. My next day off is NEXT Thursday. I went out of my way to pick up the console today so that I would have something to do.

Quite often a hard reboot will also resolve this issue, simply hold your finger on the on/off button for around 8-10 seconds (the light will go off) Then turn it back on.

I have no problems connecting and staying connected to xbox live when using only 1 xbox. My problem occurs when using 2 xbox live family accounts at the same time.

For example, Xbox 1 connects to xbox live using account 1 and begins to play Dungeon Defenders. Xbox 2 then connects to xbox live using account 2 and begins to play Dungeon Defenders (purchased separately on account 2). The player on account 1 then sends
an invite to join player 1's game. Player 2 receives the invite, but then has an error connecting to game. Any further game invites are not received by player 2. Player 2 will then be logged off of xbox live and will not be able to reconnect for approximately
10 minutes.

I have also tried the same using CD based video games rather than DLC. I have two copies of Modern Warfare 3 and the same error occurs. I do not suspect that my router or modem are the problem. I reset my router and modem about once every week. A single
xbox has no problem connecting to xbox live. The problem occurs when 2 xboxs try to connect to xbox live at the same time. Please hel;p. Thanks.

Please call 1-800-4MYXBOX (1-800-469-9269) and when the automated machine says 2 for Xbox LIVE connectivity, press 2. Then press 1. Then follow further instruction from there. All the members on this forum are not Xbox LIVE support people and they can not
help you with Xbox LIVE connectivity problem by giving them the above error code.
