power cycle the console, and reboot all network hardware.

You can try clearing your MAC address and power cycling your console and router. When power cycling, make sure you hold the power button on the console until the console shuts down and then unplug the power cord. I unplug my router at the same time and
then plug everything back in. If the problem persists, then try the soft factory reset.

NAT NAT NAT. both of you need to run the xbl connection test. if there is any NAT issue, call xbox support to get it squared away.

Also, If you haven't already done so, go ahead and try performing a Soft console Factory
reset on your console by doing the following:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console. [KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS]

Make sure you have both your email and password on hand as you will be asked to sign back in. There is an option to delete everything and to save your games and apps; choose the latter.
