Problems about my gamertag.

Hey. I just made my xbox live account. When i made it i got an random gamertag. But i cant change my gamertag? I have never changed it and when i made the account i didnt change it. Please help?( would really like to change my name)

I agree with pwarbi. Writing your race in your name represents separation of class between your race and other races to some. I think at the current stage in the world, many would be offended. They think, "Why would you write that, would you have a problem with me if I was Caucasian or Asian?"

A gamertag is unique to the individual though so while if something is obviously offensive then you'd expect it to be looked at and maybe complaints being made, on this occasion and with this gamertag, any complaint is without foundation really, and like I said before, it's just merely a case of people being offended for the sake of it.

 

Are you sure you didnt change it because

xlOksjfAddWs is not a randomly generated name.

Randomly generated names are a variation of an Adjective+Animal+Number for example HappyFawn123.

xlOksjfAddWs isnt a gamertag that would have been randomly given but chosen

Well someone who had access to your account at some point chose it then since xlOksjfAddWs is not a name that is randomly given.

Someone had to have chosen that gamertag. Because of that Microsoft wont give you a free name change.

Your only other option would be to just make a new account and then change the initial randomly generated name to one of your choosing. If you just made the account then that shouldn't be that big of a deal to do.
