    Problem with xbox profiles and microsoft account


    I'm having a massive problem I need help with. I recently had to delete my profile off my xbox one but when I try and add the profile back with my microsoft account I get a random profile without any progress or gamer score. I cant seem to get my old profile
    with my xbox live and game progress back as when I try to log in i'm just taken to this account. Please help me Im terrified i've lost my account.

    How to Troubleshoot profile-password errors

    It is possible to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile from any console by making it necessary to use your Microsoft account password to sign into your profile.

    You may encounter the following errors when you try making your password necessary for sign-in:

    • "Sorry, there was a problem requiring your password for sign-in on other consoles. Your password is still remembered for other consoles. Try again later, or try requiring password on sign-in from www.xbox.com. Visit xbox.com/security if you think someone else is accessing your account."
    • "Sorry, there was a problem requiring your password for sign-in on this console. Your password is still remembered on this console. Try again later, or try requiring password on sign-in from www.xbox.com. Visit xbox.com/security if you think someone else is accessing your account."
    Solution: Set a password requirement on Xbox.com

    1) Click My Account

    2) Go to Settings & Preferences

    3) Select Xbox 360 Profile Protection

    4) Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password associated with your Xbox LIVE account). You will see the number of consoles that don't require a sign-in password to access your Xbox LIVE profile.

    5) Click Protect Profile. This will make it necessary to download your profile again using your Microsoft account before it can be used on any console. All previous copies of your profile will not work, and any changes or achievements that had not yet been saved to Xbox LIVE will be lost.

    Important: If you feel that your password has been compromised, you can change your Microsoft account password by following these steps:

    1) Sign into accounts.live.com using your Microsoft account.

    2) Got to Account Information, and next to Password, click Change.

    If you are unable to set a sign-in password on Xbox. com, you should check the Xbox LIVE service status.

    If the Xbox LIVE service status is up and running, you should repeat the process later.

    If the problem persists, contact Xbox Support.

    this is just another gamer trying to help! hope it will

    first of all, do you have already an Xbox live account since the beginnig?

    sometimes it is just a temporarily error. Try making a new e-mail, a then register here on the website for a xbo live account, if everything is running normal, then try to log in on your Xbox, if the problem persists, i think it might be a console problem.

    Hi,

    If you can login to Xbox.com using the e-mail/password you're trying to login to on the console then please visit this page
    here.

    Check to see if you have 2-step verification on the account you're having this issue with. If you do, then you'd need to generate an Application password (on the same page, scroll down) and use that to login to the account.

    If 2-step verification is not on, then please follow the instructions below and see if they help you at all:

    Delete your profile (profile only), clear your cache 3 times in a row, restart your console, and then try to download your profile.

    Delete Profile Safely:



    Go to Settings, and then select System.

    Select Storage.

    Select All Devices.

    Select Gamer Profiles.

    Select the gamertag that you want to delete.

    Select Delete.

    Select Delete Profile Only.



    Clear System Cache, don't forget to do it 3 times!

    Go to Settings, and then select System.

    Select Storage.

    Highlight Hard Drive, and press Y.

    Select Clear Cache, and press Yes (Do this step 3 times in a row).

    Restart Console

    Download Profile:

    Push the middle button on your Xbox 360 controller.

    Select Download Profile.

    Note: If you don't see Download Profile, press the blue "X" button on your Xbox 360 controller to sign out of any profile you're currently signed into.
