    Problem with x Box Controller


    My Grandson has an Xbox with 2 controllers, one of the controllers has a problem.

    When you press the X button nothing happens but when you connect a micro USB it lights up, I have taken the controller apart to check that it was not the usual problem with the connection between the two pcb's breaking away from the pcb through heavy use
    on the B button, this connection is perfect, has anyone had this issue? the batteries are brand new and giving a full voltage and they are fitted the right way round (Polarity). The controller has worked for about 4 months then just stopped, I would welcome
    any comments.

    The XYAB buttons are actually pretty sturdy and can take a beating. Most of the time if one of them stopps working it's because some liquid got spilled in there.

    What I would do is check in settings then accessories and see if there is a controller update available.

    If there's no update and you need a new controller, take it to Gamestop and trade it in towards a new controller. I took a controller that had a malfunctioning left thumbstick and I was able to get €18 towards a new one. I just didn't mention it had a dodgy
    stick lol.

    We understand that there is an issue being experienced in reference to one of the two controllers not being able to sync wirelessly to the Xbox One console.

    We suggest the following troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller support guide, which will guide you through
    various steps in order to get the controller synced back with the console.

    Dont use wireless. Do hardwired. If you are hardwired then do a hard system restart by holding the X button on the x box console, not the x on the controller. Hold it down until your system shuts off. This bypasses sleep mode and actually turns the x box
    off. Most problems in GTA can be fixed using this method.
