    Problem With Windows 10 App


    This has been occurring since yesterday.

    Before you recommend the troubleshooting, please browse both this forum and the Xbox reddit page as it appears to be a widespread issue that's not isolated to myself. Although the Xbox App on Windows 10 reflects a moderate NAT, both Xboxes in my house have
    open. Sometimes the app prompts the error 0x89231806. I have
    already went through the troubleshooting settings that are listed on the Xbox Website. After they did not suffice, i searched online to see that I was not the only one who is having this issue with the Xbox App since yesterday.

    All I am looking for is some acknowledgement from someone on Microsoft Support to confirm there is currently an issue instead of constantly being told that it's my Internet that is the issue (as the issue is isolated only to the Xbox App on Windows, nothing
    else) and being redirected to the troubleshooting when a quick search shows there are plenty of people having a problem with the app itself since yesterday. Please assist.

    Xbox App and Xbox App Beta keeps Crashing

    Hello PhidzMac02,

    I've got an Update about this problem - I bought a New Laptop and did all Windows Updates and Store Updates on it

    I'm signed into everything (Windows, OneDrive, Skype, Groove, Store, Xbox, Xbox Insider) and the Xbox app on Windows 10 still Crashes

    So again I think this is a coding problem with the Xbox app

    I have went though every Windows 10 app/program on this New Computer and all works with No Problem (I haven't added anything to this computer except all updates)

    To isolate Error 0x89231806, here are steps on how to troubleshoot this error message:

    Method 1: Disable Proxy Connection

    I suggest you to disable proxy connection if any and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    If you are using any Proxy connection, then try disabling the proxy connection and check.

    Follow the steps to disable proxy:

    1. Click the Settings icon at the top right corner in internet explorer.

    2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.

    3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.

    4. Uncheck the box next to "proxy server for your LAN".

    5. Click on OK to save the setting and close window.

    Method 2: Disable security software on the system.

    Disable Antivirus and security-related products, if you have any Antivirus installed for (Free) uninstall it, if not then disable the Antivirus, try again to check if issue is resolved.

    Disclaimer: Antivirus software helps protecting your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software and\or troubleshoot any
    pertinent issue, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you are connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to malware attacks.

    You're not alone. I, too, have been fighting with similar issues since yesterday. I go to the network tab in the settings and I keep getting mixed results from NAT moderate to NAT strict, Teredo unable to qualify (even after I reinstalled the Teredo network
    adapter like the Xbox support troubleshoot page told me to), and server connectivity saying "blocked."

    I went through all the troubleshooting I could possibly find on this. I tried opening every port possible on my router, even DMZing my computer's local IP. I even just directly connected my PC to the house modem via ethernet and I'm STILL getting NAT restrictions
    and connectivity errors. I own an Xbox 360 and somehow the NAT is open on that. The only thing I can think of at this point is there's a problem with my ISP (I have Comcast/Xfinity) or it's simply a server side issue with the Xbox app. And, yes, I've even
    went through Jarcas022187's steps and nothing has changed.

    Update: I found the solution! This actually worked for me and should hopefully help you, as well.

    1. Right-click Start (or Win key + X)

    2. Click Command Prompt (Admin)

    3. Type in Command Prompt "netsh int ipv6 set teredo client teredo.trex.fi" (without quotation marks) and hit Enter

    Please share with anyone else that is experiencing similar issues!

    2. Click Command Prompt (Admin)

    3. Type in Command Prompt "netsh int ipv6 set teredo client teredo.trex.fi" (without quotation marks) and hit Enter
