    Problem with wifi connection (password)


    Hello,

    Today I was watching netflix on the xbox and it disconnected from the internet, I went to settings and it asked me to set up the network again, but whenever I input the password it says that is incorrect. I power cycled the xbox and the modem and checked
    on another devices and they are connected, but the xbox it's still not connecting, keeps telling me that the password is incorrect, any advices? thanks

    Does anyone else with an Xbox One X have Wi-Fi issues?

    I would try, change your wifi password (do not let anyone or any device to use this password yet) and restart your router. And hard reboot your XOX. Move wifi closer.

    If your problem is fixed, then, it is one of those problems.

    Note, the first instructions is to make sure Chromecast doesn't flood your wifi with retrospective data. Or other bad devices making bad connections. This includes some wifi adapter on PC starting to crash out your router. Happened to me on two different brands.

    Why when i test my xbox live connection does it say its working, but it doesn't?

    How are you connecting to the internet? Are you using a wired connection, or a wireless (WiFi)? I had a console where a WiFi connection would give me occasional problems, so you would want to check that out.

    Hi Supermann3324! I had the same problem once.I couldnt connect my Xbox thru my WiFi,but it would connect when I used the ethernet cable.What I did was uninstall my Wifi router reinstalled,set a password and I was able to connect my Xbox thru my WiFi router

    Constantly disconnecting from XBOX Live - XBOX 360

    I disconnected my ethernet cable, reset my wifi connection settings, then re-entered my wifi password and redid the Network Statistics test over wifi... this led me to see that my wifi connection was less than half as fast as the wired connection. So I
    plugged the ethernet cable back into the 360 console and so far 30+ minutes into the first movie I've watched and no disconnection issues.

    I'll update if the problem persists.

    Is the console showing a connection to the modem at least when you do the test? If not there is a problem between the router/modem itself and your console. Have you checked the password entered on your console for the wifi is correct and that your console
    is in range of the modem wifi?

    Had you try to set your WiFi modem near your Xbox so you get a good signal, then you can go to config your connection in your Xbox with your WiFi password (and maybe your DNS and IP) so you get connected, because when you do it with the Ethernet you don't
    have to use your internet password because it automatic connects into the LAN of your modem.

    Maybe that's your problem.
