Problem with updating xbox 360

Good day to all, I make this post because I am in a complicated situation, and with that I mean
the following:

I have an xbox 360 arcade (of the whites, the first that came out for sale) and that model only
has 3 usb ports, of which only 1 me works. Since long ago I did not use my xbox, but I decided
to unpack it and see if I could Do something with the ams to have it saved, but when I turned
it on, I threw a problem from the hard drive, it was damaged, and I decided to use the only port
I had left to put a pendrive as a storage unit, well from there everything is fine, but , As we
all know, to use xbox live, you need to update the console, but unfortunately my internet is not
very fast, and since I only have a single usb port I can not install it by another pendrive.

And here my real question: "could you install the updates to the pendrive that uses the xbox
directly by the computer?"

AFTER THE DOWNLOAD THE APPLYING IS BEING UPDATED HALFWAY AND THEN TELLS ME THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM APPLYING THE UPDATE

Problem with updating Xbox live

Hello,

I have a problem. Xbox live is available now in my region and to be able to use it I have to update it online. However after the wole procedure I obtain following error message:

I just fixed the problem. Downloaded update to USB drive on PC then transferred update to 360 console via USB drive. Directions here:

What happens if you start the update? If you're having problems with the update check out our article
