Problem with the Update on Xbox One

I am having the same issue. It kicked me in the middle of a game to try and update, after which I am left with the error screen. These are the options and what happens:

Try again: Screen Flashes and nothing else happens

Check network connection: Accesses networking settings, allows me to connect to one and then lets me play as if the update happened. Can't access the side menu when the Xbox button is pressed, instead pushing it freezes the console and I have to hard reset,
after which I am sent back to this error screen.

Skip & stay offline: Puts me to the home menu with all functions working, except I'm in the "Offline mode". As soon as I get back online and try to do anything, I get sent right back to t

his error screen.

Turn off Xbox: Turns off the Xbox, after which turning on results in being returned to this error screen.

I'm having same issue after hard resting, but I picked skip & stay offline, then I'm able to go to settings & then to network, then I picked go online & backed out to home quickly & it goes back online & seems to work-but after I picked go online in the
network settings & just stayed there, the error comes back!!

Strange, never seen an error like this!!

Hey, all!

We are aware of a situation where some users are receiving a prompt for an update, but then it errors out. This issue is resolved by performing a power cycle. You can do this several ways:

Select "Turn off Xbox" on the error screen.

Hold the power button for 8-10 seconds.

Press the power button to turn off the console, unplug the power from the console for 20-30 seconds, then hook everything back up.

This should get you all sorted out. Please let me know if you are still running into this after that so that we can get your information to the right people to investigate further.

I'm running into it still. After doing this it stopped then came back, I have yet to see any evidence my console has updated and while it's currently not effecting me at this moment I know it hasn't updated yet.

Is xbox fixing this on their end or not? Im not going to keep power cycling over and over just to play.

im still having this as well. I got up and turned it on. It b

Popped there error screen. I turned it off the back on c

Got to home and tried to play Skyrim. Again it popped up. Reset my Xbox and that seemed to work. Played Skyrim Force Unleashed 2 and Warframe no problem. Then went to Xbox store and it popped up again. I reset and d am back on Skyrim. Kind of annoying. Actually
really annoying.

Well at least I know I not alone in this problem. Yes my Xbox is Gen 1 also.

Was your Xbox One a Gen 1?

I have this same problem on both of my Gen 1 Xbox Ones. I even factory reset one of them and still ran into a problem. So I bought a flash drive and tried to do an offline update but still had the error. Now both of my Xbox's are basicly brinks now.

I have the same issue. Update stops at 10% and quits. Tried the USB offline update, after 2beeps the screen says system error please contact tech support. Talked the several tech support they all feed me the same *** about how the service is down.

I dont think if its a network issue the update always stops at 10%. Had the xb1 for the last teo weeks woth no problem. This update broke the console for sure.
