Problem with the Update on Xbox One

i just came home after work and am getting this same issue i guess ill try a few resets and see qhere that gets me

 

This also worked for me. After three hard resets but without bringing the power cord out. Really annoyed though, got kicked out of an overwatch comp game for this ****.

 

same issue, was auto update. system says updated correctly but now I'm locked out GGRRRRRR

 

**** no microsoft help on this?

Same problem as the others. Attempted a hard reset before coming here, and nothing. Going to attempt mulitple hard resets that has been suggested by others here to see if that helps.

 

UPDATE - It worked for me as well.

 

Got the exact same and now because of this error, I can't connect back to my wireless

Same issues here as of this morning, it was all working fine last night.

I have a Xbox One and Xbox One S and both have the exact same error code.

I will try the hard boot when I get home but I'm hoping in 9 hours they will have fixed the issues with the XBOX server as that's what the actual error message (0x8B050033) is saying when checking with MS Support.

This error means that your Xbox One requires a system update, but the update is not currently available.

This error could occur if there’s an issue with the Xbox servers. Try installing the system update again later"

I hope they are looking at this as there is quite a few people reporting this currently.

So will try later and if that doesn't work maybe the hard-reboot will do the job...

I am having the same issue with the exact same code. Newer system bought just over a year ago. Maybe less than a year ago which makes me surprise this is happening. Have you filed a ticket? Let me know what you find out and you can message me on Xbox with

Boy am I glad to see that I'm not the only one having this problem. I was afraid my XBoxOne was dying.

We are aware of a situation where some users are receiving a prompt for an update, but then it errors out. This issue is resolved by performing a power cycle. You can do this several ways:

• Select "Turn off Xbox" on the error screen.
• Hold the power button for 8-10 seconds.
• Press the power button to turn off the console, unplug the power from the console for 20-30 seconds, then hook everything back up.

This should get you all sorted out. Please let me know if you are still running into this after that so that we can get your information to the right people to investigate further.
