Problem with the Home button skipping tracks in the media player

Since the latest update in April 2017, the Xbox Home button is skipping tracks. I use the media player app to frequently watch TV shows and movies I have stored on my
NAS, and it functioned wonderfully prior to the update. I really liked that when I switched between watching a show/movie, to playing a game – or anything else for that matter – the video would continue playback from right where I left off. However, since
the update, any video will no longer continue playback from where I left off and when I press the Home button during playback, it will skip to the previous video/track. This basically kills any functional use for this app. The skipping issue and having to navigate
through my directory over and over, just to get back to the show I was watching, gets real old, real fast.

What happened since this update?! I can understand removing the snap feature for stability/speed improvements. But you have really neutered the "ease of use" of this
device. I actually liked pressing the Home button once to take me directly to the main "Home" screen. You've now made it an overly convoluted process of pushing 3 buttons to do the same thing that once took only one button push!!! Really!?!?!?! That's
bad design and functionality. It was very intuitive to press it once for Home and double tap for the side menu. Sure, one could argue, "Oh, man up, it's only two extra pushes of a button"... But why should they? You took something intuitive, easy to use,
and generally worked 99% of the time, and changed it to something less so. Why???

I rarely take any time to leave feedback when something I use gets updated and has a few new quirks, I learn to adapt and deal. But this... no. You are getting feedback
because this is just a s*** update. Bring back the simplicity, and at a minimum, fix the Home button skipping to the previous track issue.

media player skipping

Hi I had a usb 2.0 flash drive worked great with movies I wanted more space so I bought a external hard drive it has usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 I plug it it my computer which is usb 2.0 put the movies on it then put it in my xbox one the movies skip but when I
play it on my computer through the external hard drive it works fine no skipping could this be because of putting movies usb 2.0 and then playing them on usb 3.0?

 

Xbox One Media Remote not working on PIN Passcode Sign in screen since Feb update

Ever since the Feb Software update you can no longer use the Media Remote to sign in at the PIN screen.

It will not let you use the Play/Pause, Stop, Next Track, Previous Track, Forward, Back buttons to select the 0-9 digits on the pin number passcode screen.

This worked perfectly before the Feb Update.

Issues is with all profiles, even with a new profile.

Media Remote buttons all work fine in other apps like xbox music etc.

Have done a full system restart, replaced batteries, everything.

The Feb update has broken the ability of the Media Remote to be used to sign in!

Help!
