Problem with State of Decay 2 because game "thinks" that I haven't a license to play

I've got a problem with State of Decay 2.

I can start the game but I am recieving the following messages while playing f.e. two minutes of the game:

Warning- A running process may be interfering with the correct operation of State of Decay 2. This may be caused by anti-virus software, malware, game overlays, or other active processes on your PC. For more information, please visit *state of decay 2 website*

This message I can click away but the following one:

The signed in users do not have a license for this game. Please purchase the game or sign in a user with a valid license.

is closing my game.

I already contacted the supportteam via chat but I couldn't get the problem solved by following the instructions of the support member which were as followed:

1.) deinstall and reinstall the game

2.) log out of xbox app and microsoft store and relog with your account

Also I preordered the game with the ultimate edition via the microsoft store and haven't recieved the free code for the first game.

Never recived State of Decay year one code

I haven't received mine either please help I would like to play State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition on Xbox One before State of Decay 2 comes out

 

State of Decay 2 question...

State of Decay 2 is just the game.

State of Decay 2: Ultimate Edition includes the game and:

• Early Access - play State of Decay 2 four days early before the game’s standard release date

• State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition (Console version)

• Independence Pack*

• Daybreak Pack*

 

I have the same problem. Did both of those too. Then made sure it is whitelisted with COMODO and Disabled the Shell-code like the support page says.

 

I'm afraid I don't know much about the main issue but hopefully the advice from Random Blaze will help on that front.

As for the promised code for Year One Survival Edition that should be sent to you as a code in an Xbox Live Message within 7-10 days after launch. I saw some people getting theirs today so maybe you did or will too.

 

Well I tried it today again but I still have the same problems and can't play the game actually.

 

Same boat here. No answer on my emails either. I'm about to request a refund due to being unable to play. If the refund is refused I will turn it into my bank for fraud and dispute the charge.

 

I'm right there with you. Talked to one person and that was it Sent in screenshots with the of the error. That was a day or 2 ago.

 

Same thing happened to me. I uninstalled my anti-virus and firewall to solve the issue. Avira AV and Comodo firewall, after I uninstalled them it worked perfectly.

 

How can there be now fixes for a bug like this? It worked fine before this last patch and now it doesn't. There are multiple people with this error on PC windows 10.

 

Agreed, why should you have to uninstall a VIRUS program to protect your computer to use a product from a BIG COMPANY. I understand if it was a 3rd rate gaming company, but really MICROSOFT? Who are they kidding. My problem with this who issue is NO one
is putting up a fix except the easy way out. UNINSTALL your virus program. WTF??? Why put my computer at risk?

I won't uninstall my anti virus programm to play that game and I hope that there will be a fix within the next days because as you already mentioned that this shouldn't happen to a big company with that kind of ressources.

it seems that the game is now working as intended. Hopefully it stays that way. Maybe State of Decay 2 has been patched recently?

 

Recently talked to a Xbox representative who has documented the issue and has informed the dev team of the issues. Hopefully this gets resolved in a patch, as it wasn't fixed for me unlike @AngelonTerra.
