    Problem with Skype or....?


    Hey so for my Skype on my xbox one, I have the app installed and whenever I try to load it, it starts to load and then it gets to being about to load entirely and then it crashes and exits me out of it. I don't understand what's wrong with it, I've uninstalled
    it and reinstalled it, and tried everything I could possibly think of on how to fix it, I've checked the help on the xbox one as well but it doesn't seem it has a solution there so I am not sure if maybe my xbox one is at fault or maybe it's a bug with Skype
    maybe? idk, can anyone help me?

    I don't use Skype on Xbox One so not too sure about it, what I would of suggested, hard reset etc you have already done.

    Having said that, when you turned the console off after holding the power button for 10 seconds, how long did you leave it before turning on again? I ask because it is advised you leave it for at least 30 seconds before powering back up, I've made the mistake
    of turning it back on more or less straight away lol

    Also and apologies if you've tried this already, some have better luck fixing problems that arise that after holding the button for 10 seconds they completely unplug the consoles power lead from back of console and leaving it for at least 5 minutes before
    plugging it back in and powering up. Not sure why this is but I have seen it advised over on Xbox Support.

    If none of this works then unless someone else here can help I'd advise heading over to the Xbox One App Support Forums, link below, good luck.

    Problem with Skype App

    Hi,

    Please make sure Kinect is connected and turned on. This must fix the issue.

    A future update to Skype will address this.

    OS - Windows 10 | v. 10.0.10586.1024

    APP - Skype | Release date 2013.11.15

    Everything latest version (from official distribution) and belong to one company.

    As result it does not work together.

    I wasted 2h on skype helpdesk with mixed bot and human responses. I able to run skype after re-installing it (EACH TIME).

    Xbox call center does not work including call-back feature,

    Please, request this issue to Skype and/or Windows 10 dev team and share with people tracking number. A lot of users would to have Skype up and running and (I believe) will enjoy your test tasks.

    Sorry to hear about the crashing issue with Skype. Let's begin by following these steps to get this issue resolved:

    • Uninstall the Skype app from your Xbox One console.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the console fully powers down.
    • Navigate to the 'My Games and apps' tile and reinstall Skype from your 'Ready to install' list.
    Give that a shot and let us know how it goes!

    Skype Problem

    I'm having a similar issue. Just bought my Xbox one a few days ago and when trying to launch skype today, it goes full screen, has it's loading icon go around in a circle for a bit and then goes back to home.

    This is not an xbox one issue this is a skype app issue you do not need to hard reset your xbox ones this again is an skype app issue skype is having problems i called tec support and there aware of the problem. Again a skype app issue. Not an xbox one issue.
    Your xbox ones are fine
