Problem with Skype App

Hi, as the title says I am having trouble with the Skype App on the Xbox One. It signed me out of my account randomly and now when I click on "yup. that's me" it sends me straight to the dashboard. I have tried holding the power button for 10 seconds, deleted
the app and re installed it as well as deleting my Xbox Live account and downloading that again but nothing seems to work. Skype also works on the same account on other devices so what could the problem be?

Skype keeps crashing on Xbox One

So what's the deal with the Skype app on Xbox One?

So I've used the Skype app b4 with no problem, now earlier today the app crashed out of nowhere. Now no amount of rebooting/power cycling the console or deleting/reinstalling the app will help. Also snapping Skype does not work either. While reinstalling
the app the setup process goes by smoothly but once I get signed in, the app crashes back again to the dashboard.

This is not an xbox one issue this is a skype app issue you do not need to hard reset your xbox ones this again is an skype app issue skype is having problems i called tec support and there aware of the problem. Again a skype app issue. Not an xbox one issue.

I don't use Skype on Xbox One so not too sure about it, what I would of suggested, hard reset etc you have already done.

Having said that, when you turned the console off after holding the power button for 10 seconds, how long did you leave it before turning on again? I ask because it is advised you leave it for at least 30 seconds before powering back up, I've made the mistake
of turning it back on more or less straight away lol

Also and apologies if you've tried this already, some have better luck fixing problems that arise that after holding the button for 10 seconds they completely unplug the consoles power lead from back of console and leaving it for at least 5 minutes before
plugging it back in and powering up. Not sure why this is but I have seen it advised over on Xbox Support.

Hi,

Please make sure Kinect is connected and turned on. This must fix the issue.

A future update to Skype will address this.
