Problem with signing into console I have my Xbox set up to sign into my console to instant...

I have a similar problem. Sometimes when I turn my console on, it will completely shut off after a few seconds and I have to turn it on again. No issues with signing in though. I have my Xbox set to Instant-On.

This is definitely a flaw in the system, but there is a way to prevent this from happening. That is to set up the instant sign in. You can set the console to automatically sign into the account with the parental filters enabled.

Here's how;

• When you start the Xbox One console up, sign into the account you want to enable instant sign in.
  
• Press the 'Menu' button (small button with 3 horizontal lines).
  
• Now select "Setting"
• On the "Settings" page, under "About Me", you'll see the "Sign-in, security & passkey" option. Click on that.
  
• On this page, there will be an "Instant Sign-in" option, which should be set to "Nobody". Click on that, and chose "Use Instant Sign-in".
  

Now when you turn on the console, it will sign into the account by itself, and enabling the parental options automatically. You are able to sign out of that account, or sign into a different account at any time, if you chose.

I've having this problem as well since I deleted my account on Xbox (because I got another bug that always asked me to sign in everytime I turned on my XB1 and instant- sign-in was enabled). After deleting the account, restarting the console and signing
in again all my games would have to sync before playing, and the sync progress wouldn't finish always stops at 98%!

So it seems like you are looking for a way to force the login to an account so that the time limitations take effect when the account signs in. I understand that currently, your children are able to access Netflix and the OneGuide app without signing in
and this causes them to get around the time limitations you've place for them.

The best method I can think of is to set up your parental account to instant sign in when the console is turned on. You can also set up a passkey or lock down your account with your password, so when your children turn on the console, your account will instantly
attempt to sign in but won't be able to unless you put in your passkey or password. This way, they will need your permission to access the console when their time is up. If your children's account's are added to your Family group, their accounts will not be
able to sign in without the parent account permission.

To set up instant sign-in, login to the parent account and go to Settings<Account<Sign-in, security & passkey<Instant sign-in and confirm. In the same settings page, select
Change my sign-in & security preferences and select Ask for my passkey or
lock it down.

That's the problem. I have it set to instant sign in. When it tries to sign me in, it says sorry that it can't and I have to enter my password manually. All the settings are correct, they just don't work like they did before.
