Problem with screen resolution on boot up.

Just wondering if any one as had a problem with there console booting up with low res and 1080p not showing up in screen settings,its just that today i plugged in me charger for my controller whilst the console was in power saveing mode and when i booted
up xb1 the above problem happened.I power cycled the xb1then booted up again with no issue all settings were correct and 1080p was back again.Just hope this a one off because ive had no issues before.

After Connecting to a receiver XBOX 360 will not work with some TVs

What do you have your display settings set to on your XBox 360? I would start with 480p and work your way up to see if the problem is the screen resolution on the flat screen tvs. It sounds like maybe there is an incompatibility with the tv and the XBox
360 on the flat screens you have the problem with. Are these flat screen tvs new? What is the max resolution on the tvs?

they all support 1080p. It could be your is damaged. Did you try resetting the video output?

Reset the console display settings

If the display problem is still not resolved, reset the display settings of your console. Here’s how:

Remove any discs from the disc tray.

Turn off the console.

Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

I've had this happen a couple times. If the TV/monitor doesn't reply to the Xbox One on initialization about the supported resolutions it assumes the lowest possible for the sake of troubleshooting. Usually a reboot fixes it but again my Xbox has only done

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately still no resolution.

To clarify the problem - it occurs on power up when at the home screen. Tried to adjust resolution again.

4K results in a screen saying there is a problem.

1080p results in a blank screen that then goes back to Display & sound.

720p goes to a screen that asks if i want to keep this resolution but it goes black.

I've used CHEAP cables before - got them on clearance at the local hardware store for $10 for a 6' cable. HDMI 1.0. They definitely still gave 1080p resolution.
