Problem with preorder dlc for Rock Band 4

To start with, I preordered Rock Band 4 off of Amazon and received some dlc codes. I noticed a problem with it downloading the same few songs over and over no matter what I choose to download. I went through uninstalling the game and all it's dlc multiple
times (weird thing is it'll only uninstall the songs it actually installed while the other ones I have to completely turn off the system and back on to uninstall). After reinstalling 2-3 more times I thought to try installing each song one by one, but ended
up with the same result. This leads me to believe there's a problem with the dlc itself and I'm hoping to get that taken off my account so I can get a new code to redownload them with to hopefully work! This happened with two codes by the way.

Rock Band 4 DLC export - some recently bought DLC on Xbox 360 Rock Band 3 is not showing as purchased on Xbox One.

Hi, I've had an Xbox One for just over a week now and purchased it primarily for Rock Band 4 so I'm somewhat new to the Xbox One.

The problem I'm having is Harmonix who makes the Rock Band series has stated that all DLC purchased for Rock Band 1-3 will be able to be used in Rock Band 4.

I purchased some DLC about a month ago for Rock Band 3 because there were some newer DLC for it at the start of 2015 and I purchased some older DLC tracks at the same time, unfortunately when it came to redownloading these tracks on Rock Band 4, this batch
of purchases were some of the only tracks which came up as "not already owned" and tried to charge me again to download them.

I'm wondering if this is some sort of license transfer issue, it seems the tracks affected are the most recently purchased ones.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask,, it's just Harmonix support links directed me here as it relates to DLC purchase rights on Xbox One.

I can provide details of the DLC tracks which are not showing as owned if that helps matters.

AC/DC Track Pack and Your Rock Band 2 Bonus Tracks packs for Rock Band not registering as bought.

Same problem here - initial export of the track pack from the game (into Rock Band 2?) was done December 28th 2008 and subsequently imported into Rock Band 3 etc.

Showing as Bundle Only for me when trying to import into Rock Band 4

What are the songs that the DLC codes are for? If it's something we aren't aware of, we will want to make sure we communicate that with the appropriate people.

I am also having this issue from the Preorder from Best Buy. I got the Freezepop, Honest Bob, Megasus songs (7 total tracks) out of the 30 with the code from preorder.

Any Ideas for helping me out as well? I'd settle for in game credit for some of the other DLC out there.

For you, Fishfriedcat, what song are they installing as? Are they showing up as doubles instead?

DAVID - Can you give me a list of all the songs in your pre-order codes, and the same information as above, please?

We did have an issues that the toasts were coming up weird with pre-orders, but none of the songs you list were mentioned. If it's the same issue, then I'd like to make sure we've got that up to the right people so they can make sure the songs are working
as intended.

 

What makes it weird is that the song Jane - Jefferson Starship is the song that keeps downloading in place of everything. I don't see it on the list nor did I ever buy that song.

 

I have had the same problem with DLC from game.co.uk.

Initially 7 of the 30 were detected. 2 tracks later said they needed updated, which I did, now only 5 tracks are detected.

As mentioned above, it repeatedly said Jane - Jefferson Starship was downloading.

When I go to manage game, all the correct DLC appears there, its only in game that it is not detected, even if I select rebuild song cache.

 

Just thought I'd post for anyone else with this issue:

When I tried again later, all the non-working songs were gone form the manage game list and were on the ready to install list. They all now work.

One was stuck saying installation stopped but uninstalling and reinstalling from "ready to install" list resolved that.

(I had to reset the xbox before it would show on "ready to install" column again).

Problem solved for me at least. Hope this helps.

 

That's what I thought, Fishfriedcat! That should be resolved. If you give what GodMcB did a shot (do a hard reset by holding the power button for 8 seconds), and see if they are showing up on the Ready to install list, that should get you sorted out.

Let me know if that works for you, too!

 

Sorry it took so long to respond! This did fix the majority of it. There's still one song Follow Me Down - Pretty Reckless that for some reason doesn't show up anymore. A bit bummed by this one in particular since I was hyped to play that song the most.

 

Ugh, I would be, too! A+ for knowing them, btw. They still aren't fully "mainstream", and I love that Rock Band has them.

Can you send me a private message with the code that Follow Me Down should be on? I don't want to blast your code everywhere, but I'd like to look into what's being offered on there and see if there's an issue with the license itself. You can send me a private
