Problem with pre paid MS Points.

When i try to do a redemp of a 1500ms points card, i'm having a error code "XBOS1005".

This is happening since yesterday.

What should i do?

Xbox Live gold is region free?

Pre paid codes for subs are region free. MS points cards are not

 

Can you still buy pre-paid codes at stores after MS points are gone?

The pre-paid Microsoft Point cards will be phased out over the next few months, to be replaced by pre-paid cash amount cards. If you enter any MS Point code in that time, it will just convert the points to the equivalent cash
amount.

I'm sorry that you are unable to redeem your point card. To better assist you please try the steps I provide bellow:

1.) Delete Market Place data. (System, settings, storage, hard-drive, system items).

2.) Clear system cache( 3-times). (Settings, system, storage, Hover-over Hard-drive, click (Y)).

3.) Test Xbox Live Connection, This will ensure you get the best results from the service.(Settings, system, Network).

4.) Restart Xbox and try to redeem code. This can be done through Xbox Guide.

5.) Re-download Profile(Optional, if steps above don't work).

Does the region from which you bought the MSP card match the region of your account and/or your physical location?

 

Like Maxen13 mentioned - MS Points cards are region locked; i.e a card bought in UK will not work on a US account.
