problem with plug and play kit

ok so I just got a new one because I was having problems with the old one now I am having problems with the new one every time I charge it the light goes red then green after a minit and the battery never gets charged is there a way to fix this?

btw I tried calling Microsoft and they where no help and they did was tell me to exchange it and its a problem because I shouldn't have to play with it pluged in also I have trying leaving the system on all night thing maybe it would charge and it dosent
and I don't know what eles to do please help

Controllers won't connect

Do you have an plug and play kit? Because when you use the plug and play kit it will sync the controller up. If that doesn't work it does sound like a problem on the console.

plug and play charge kit

what would cause the green light to come on when you first plug it in then it goes off and wont do anything at all

There may be a possibility that the issue could lie with the usb port. Have you tried different ones?

When I had my 360 it was the Halo 3 edition so it came with the plug and play kit. I used it quite a bit and never had any problems with it. I'm going to pick up another plug and play kit for my X1.

Wiggle the connector end at the controller, if its anything like mine, its a poor connector and you have to juggle it a certain way to get it to charge. This is the only piece of xbox one equipment I have been disappointed in.

I had the official plug and play kit for my first elite. And it was good I had no problems with it 👍
