Problem with PIN on Minecraft Launcher

I bought Minecraft and I downloaded the Minecraft Launcher, I selected my account and on the PIN screen it says to put my PIN but when I put my PIN it always says that the PIN is incorrect.

I tried to remove the PIN, I tried to change the PIN but it always shows PIN screen and says that the PIN is incorrect.

this is definitely not an issue i hear about very often. see if these troubleshooting steps help you

Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Input options.
Scroll down to the option "Require Windows Hello Sign In for Microsoft Accounts" and set it to disabled.
On the Windows Hello PIN (above), click on remove. This will remove any PIN saved on Windows Hello for the account.
If it asks for a password, confirm your Microsoft account password.
Restart your computer.

Do you know if your Windows user has a PIN enabled as a login option?
Double check this going to Settings > Accounts

If yes, please try using that PIN instead.

If not, sometimes when you enter wrongly the PIN for a couple times. The login system is going to ask you for your Microsoft password instead

We understand that you are trying to switch Microsoft account in Minecraft Launcher, and you were prompted with an incorrect PIN. Just like any other apps in your PC, Windows PIN works like a device password. Windows PIN should match the same PIN when you unlock the PC. Minecraft launcher, on the other hand, sometimes requires the same credentials that is signed in on Microsoft Store and Xbox app.

So, to ensure that you will be able to switch accounts, make sure to sign out from Minecraft launcher, Microsoft Store and Xbox app.
Followed by signing back into Microsoft Store, Xbox app and Minecraft Launcher.
When Windows PIN prompt, please use the Windows PIN for your PC, regardless of the account signed into the game.

Should issue persists, we may need assistance for this PC concern. Please post a screenshot of the issue and conceal your personal information like email address and full name.

I migrated my Mojang account back when Microsoft first required that we do so. (May/June?) I do not have the original PIN email, because I didn't think I would need it. I've been using Minecraft since migrating, and the behavior I'm describing happened recently. (November 7th or 8th?)

I've tried resetting my Minecraft install (from System > Apps control panel) along with XBox app, and Microsoft Store. Along with un-/re-installing Minecraft (and Launcher). I would say the problem is not with the MInecraft Launcher but with my Microsoft Minecraft account -- my Minecraft Profile name has disappeared from my account.

On the minecraft launcher, I click "sign in with microsoft" and it gives me a selection of accounts to choose from. First off, I can't find a way to figure out which of the accounts is the actual minecraft account.

When I try to log in to one, I type in my email and password but then it requests for me to enter my PIN.

I didn't even have a PIN for the account that I used.
