    Problem with my new Series X Controller


    So long story short I ordered a new Series X controller and when I opened it from the box the down-button on the Dpad had no clicking sound and felt really mushy, though all other buttons were fine.
    I decided to disassemble my controller and when I took the face-plate off all of the Dpad buttons seemed completely fine, the down-button now wasn't mushy anymore. However whenever I screw the face-plate on again the down-button becomes mushy again.
    I have no idea how to fix this, i've looked around for so many guides and none of them have helped me.

    Please help me.

    I am having this problem as well. Brand new series x, brand new controller, brand new batteries. System is up to date and so is the controller. Has to be a software issue, this does not happen on my Xbox One.

    Is there any solution to this until today? I‘ve got the same problem and got my razer kaira pro replaced, also checked with different controllers (x one s and x series x controller) and the problem still exists. The headsets packaging says „designed for xbox series x“ so I wouldn‘t expect these kind of problems. Any help is still appreciated.

    Same here, the exact same problem on my XBOX series X and S....

    from 6 joysticks I have, only 2, elite 1 and and old xbox one s controller, without updated firmware, are working fine.

    but all my fancy new Xbox series controllers are having this problem since past year and I was thinking the problem were my controller battery (I have the official charge and play battery on all my controllers)

    hopefully they will address this soon...
